So a random guy just pulled up in front of my house and asked if I would sell my 01. I said I'm going to be selling it soon. He offered my 8500. I said no way, I'll be asking 13k. Then he said 10k. No way. He got in and started it. Asked if it has any codes. I told him about the new AF sensor and that is just passed smog and is registered new last week. He asked if I would take 12k cash. And he had it on him. I said nope, I haven't even posted it yet, need to see what I can get, and I've got too much shit going on today to deal. I say give me your number. He starting looking pissed and said nope and drove off.

So who wants to buy my 01?

Damn, 12k I would have taken and not looked back. To not have to deal with craigslist is worth it to me, but I understand waiting as well. 1k is a lot of money.

 

Actually, I think I also have some separation anxiety. And I have no urgency for the funds.

 

Meh, I get it, I've met up with people who low balled me on my asking price after agreeing to asking price. I've walked away from a couple sales when they agreed to a price but then showed up and offered less...when you're in no rush to sell, its just a slap in the face. I'm the same way about alot of stuff that I sell, if I don't need the money, and I know the worth of what I'm selling, I'm not going to accept less just to make a sale.

 

I agree. That's a nice offer for an '01.

 

yeah I would have taken the 12k.

I paid 12.8k for my 01 four years ago, pristine stock and 125k miles.

but I wouldn't sell it now for anything... except Vin's 2nd gen.

i get notes left on my 98 "call me i'll buy it" they probly think 500$ cuz its dusty in driveway looks like it don't run. guy stopped last week said he had cash he'd buy it...i didn't ask how much he wanted to pay. stock 4x4 2.7L...i'm currently keeping it
