Has a Sport hood. Sport side mirrors. Sport color keyed front and rear bumpers. I'm guessing like everyone else it's a Sport.

For three years old @ $28k you probably could do better. At 39k miles it's fairly low miles.

After watching pre-owned Tacomas here in Montana for several months I decided to buy new. Two year old DCSB Off-Road models with 60k miles were only $2k cheaper than brand new ones.

Ran that VIN through the NICB. It hasn't ever been reported stolen at least. ;)

    AutoCheck.com (Edmunds.com) claims it is an SR5.

My vin comes up as an SR5 and it's definitely a Sport.

Interesting. I'm fairly certain the OP's prospect is a Sport. Never seen an SR5 with the mirrors, hood, and color matched grill/bumpers before. Not to say it can't happen.

My 09 is color matched TRD Sport and has SR5 badge. Used to think sr5 meant chrome but color me wrong.

But no Sport mirrors. You have part of but not all of the features of the Sport.

Is that year dependent? I'll need to look at what the Sport mirrors look like...

Ok, I did a quick search and don't see any difference between my mirrors and the mirrors I find when I Google search 2008 TRD Sport Mirrors. What am I missing?

The Sport mirrors are color matched AND have turn signal indicators in them. Like the ones on this truck:

The turn signal mirrors are going to be year dependent. I don't have them in my 05 Sport.

    Are floor mats a mod?
It's a DCSB OR sport, just for reference, I got my 2011 DCLB sport with 5k miles for 25k. List was 31k. If I was u I would either grind the hell out of the dealer or keep looking. They are about 2-3k high.

No idea what was an option? It's a double cab short bed TRD off-road sport. DCSB OR sport. Or did you mean to grind the dealer? I'm confused. But that's kinda normal for me.

    You're saying its a TRD off-road sport?

I didn't know there was an "off-road AND sport" model option.

I thought you either had a "TRD off-road" or you had a "TRD Sport".

Let it be publicly noted that you are correct. I mixed my tla's. It is a TRD sport. Sorry for the confusion.

Gotcha. I googled it and couldn't find any. I'm a fan of the scooped hood AND the elec locker so I'd be a customer for sure.

I think the 12 scoop is nicer looking than the 11. More swooped back, less like the Subaru WRX scoop on the 11. Wonder if anyone wants to trade...

Also, on the locker, makes me wish I had bought a OR. I would never have thought, but the locker makes the difference between making 4 attempts at an approach, with the last one a full throttle, bashing the shit out of the bottom of the truck, and just nicely grinding your way up the rock hill. Am still working on the wife to let me get an air locker or OR retro, but she says new bathroom comes first. Priorities, right?
