Hi I'm John new to the forum and had Toyota's for a while but got my first Taco this year. It's a 00 PreRunner SR5 TRD and I love it! I never realized how much you can customize them until I found this forum. I'm from Maryland and look forward to reading and sharing in all of your posts.

Welcome, John. Glad you found this thread. It's usually a little more active, but some of the guys went camping this weekend.

Question ... Why did you decide on your Prerunner? You mentioned you were originally from Connecticut, which usually gets more snow than Maryland, but Maryland can still get some decent amounts of snow.

Actually the PreRunner chose me. I went to a local dealer to look at another Taco and when I got there it was not in the same shape as the info online. I was disappointed but not surprised. So as I pulled out my wife saw it at the next lot. So I took it for a test drive and couldn't leave it there. I know most people look for the 4x4's but that wasn't as critical to me. Last truck wasn't 4x4 and I survived. Thanks for asking.

So me and mud ran into a couple from Annapolis on our exploration through Green Ridge that was camping, he said he's on TW but never posts... If your reading this that was a fun trail, it started out civic friendly then got to the point that the road was pretty eroded, we made it through in 2wd the entire time though.
