So you're running the Bilstein's at 1.75" on stock springs up front only? How'd it change your ride / ride quality? You have a really nice looking truck.

Finally got a side by side pic of a stock tacoma and mine and honestly was unimpressed by the comparison. I thought it was a larger difference with a 3" lift and 285/70/17s

This is my 2015, 4WD. I bought it new back in September of '14. This is my first Tacoma, and I really like it. I think these are great trucks! I've got several little things I'd like to do to the truck, but once you get started it's tough to stop.

That stance though! Looks that much better with a few extra inches. Also, are you positive that is 100% stock suspension? The owner clearly did some mods to that thing (4runner mirros; steps sides...). May have thrown a little 1.25" lift on there too.

My wife and daughter have been all over me because i want to spend a few bucks to lift mine 2_3." Their argument is that i went with 17" wheels so i already got 1" and they cant really see a difference. Honestly...there are some wheel and tire combinations where i cant even tell. Stop me...they are starting to make sense.

A 17in tire option does not increase your ride height or "give you lift" as your tire size changes with the larger diameter wheel. You essentially gain nothing.

You guys know a lot more than i do but if i had a 16" wheel and now i have a 17" wheel (assume the same sidewall height for now) wouldn't i have an additional 1\2" of clearance between the ground and my entire truck? i know that's minor but it is a lift.

That would depend on tire size, not wheel size. What tires did you have on your 16" wheels and what tires did you get on your 17" wheels?

Dude, they are all special. They have a forum dedicated to them. Cool truck - great choice.
