    Took a quick over night trip to Indian Grinding Rock State Park. It's in Gold Country. We also toured the Black Chasm Cavern, but I couldn't get the truck inside to be in a pic...

    These are the Pawnee Buttes, on the high plains of eastern Colorado. Much more impressive in person, of course. They are about 300 feet high. My new truck broke through the 400 mile mark on this trip. Soon I'll be at 4 digits on the odometer!

    How do you guys get such clear images? I have a Cannon DSLR and when I shoot landscape photos, it looks so grainy. Please share your secrets!

    I'm no professional, but a couple of things...

    Get a tripod. Not a flimsy $10 one, but a real deal tripod. I have the $10 one and regret it, regardless, it does help with image quality.

    Take some photos on auto mode, and then start playing with settings to see what you like changed. Play around with it, and watch some youtube videos for your specific model.

    It goes without saying, the glass (lens) plays a huge part in the image quality. Make sure it is clean and of good quality.
