Same here, I plan on buying an SR 4x4/v6 with convenience package and black alloy wheels. I don't need any of the features included in SR5/TRD packages. But I'll take google maps on my phone over any OEM NAV Head Unit. SR/SR5 will have the same basic touch screen head unit from 2014/2015 models, which I'm totally content with.

Anybody know if the driver's seat adjusts up and down? My one complaint for my 13, I'm tall and always feel like I'm sitting to high.

I've now read the owner's manual, because I guess I'll be having some free time waiting for my build date.

They most definitely do not raise and lower. Manual adjustment, lumbar wheel, and recline only.

Cap - if they have your allocation locked in and optioned they should absolutely have a build date for you by now. pretty damn sure I got my allocation locked down after you (was done by 8/22 with all options) and my original build date was 9/17 but was moved to 9/11 ... yours has gotta be built by now?

I think mine's a little different because we "hijacked" (for lack of a better term) a DCSB SR5 and turned it into a fully loaded DCLB TRD Sport with everything. Toyota approved the allocation switch, but hasn't been able to confirm a build date. The inventory manager explained that build dates are based on availability of parts, and if all the parts needed to put my configuration are already allocated to other builds, then that original SR5s build date is out the window. That appears to be exactly what happened.

I did see on Facebook from an old CMSgt that his wife is may be getting overtime for an occasional Saturday shift (oh, she does dashboards at the SATX plant), so there's hope if this ends up being a San Antonio built truck. Fingers crossed!

Sounds like we have the same predicament. It was already a little tighter than I would like and the head room shrunk for the gen 3's. I am really curious to actually sit in one. This has a real chance of being a deal breaker for me.

Hadn't noticed it, but thank freaking god! The OR in MGM is going to look badass.

These are terrible pictures, but none of the grilles have changed from the pre-production, and none of them are all-chrome. Despite looking chrome in some pictures the grille is actually a glossy grey colour, so it looks pretty shiny in some pictures but it is not chrome. The part that looks like "chrome bars" in those photos are also not chrome, and in fact the entire grille is the same colour, it's just how the light is hitting it.

There are 4 types of grille.

SR: Black Bar Grille, Black Moulding
SR5: Black Bar Grille, Chrome Moulding
TRD: Grey Mesh Grille, Chrome Moulding
Limited: Grey Bar Grille (Grey version of SR/SR5), Chrome Moulding

The grilles in the brochure (if you see a better version in colour) are exactly the same as all the pictures we've seen up to this point. None of them are a chrome grille.

There are quite a few accessories carrying over.

The chrome step bars are carrying over. New running boards, not sure if the old ones would fit, I know they were pretty tight to the body, but they won't be listed for the new body style at the minimum. Bed mat is a carry-over, as is the bed step and cargo divider and bed extender.

I know a few people had been asking on some of those.

Thank you. Been saying this for a while in response to folks complaining about the grill. The trd grill is a smoke color.

Wish you could get a Limited without the moon roof.

I guess it isn't surprising that they have it included. You can outfit a TRD sport like a Limited w/o the roof...but that isn't helpful I suppose if you have a need for leather.

Leather I can take it or leave it.
Its the JBL system + nav. Seems as soon as you go DC and want the JBL your stuck with the sound system

I have an access cab, sport now. The larger cab would suit my needs better than having a 6' bed. Don't really need the non functioning hood scoop.
Right now I am leaning towards the DC OR, tow package or a SR5 with most of the options.
The way its packaged, I will most likely forgo the top end sound system.

You are correct sir. The more I look at them the more I notice the difference in the CHROME emblem and chrome surround contrasting with the rest of the mesh grill. Looks Better and better the more I see it.

Why do they insist on putting the chrome surround on the sport and OR when there's not another chrome element on the whole truck, except the emblem. So stupid. I could see many people color matching that first thing. I know I am.

I wish the limited didn't have all that chrome. Looks terrible to me. Trim should be optional on any model (flat black, color matched, or chrome). I'm going to de-chrome a limited if I end up getting one.

EDIT: so the brochure claims the Limited model has a chrome rear bumper but I have yet to see a chrome rear bumper on a single 2016 tacoma in any picture/video. I really hope its color-keyed..
