    Unless the 9ers are sandbagging with regards to what Kaep is going to do, I might be inclined to give Gabbert or Thompson a shot at starting. Though, Thompson was facing a third string defense, for the most part. Guess we'll know more on the 14th.

    Thomas Rawls was clearly the best back for Seattle in the pre-season, with Fred Jackson signing that made Turbin and Michael expendable. Both are decent backs but neither could come close to replacing Lynch when he goes, Rawls looks like a beast.

    I never liked all the hype surrounding him, but I think there are a few teams where he'd be a solid backup. I will say this: if Sam Bradford gets hurt again, I wouldn't be shocked if Chip brings Tebow back in.
