What's the giant benefit of the OR vs the Sport? I don't see much difference other than the new crawl, suspension and maybe bigger tires?

She* isn't the best driver out there...no need to be in a Tundra. She went from a Corolla, to a CRV, now to the Tacoma.

If you went with just invoice pricing I don't think it's possible. But if you got them to be at $500 below invoice it's definitely possible.

I get an invoice for that vehicle of roughly $31,798.84. Tow is $579. Destination is $900. Doc Fees ~ $600. Tax will be $2032.67 (I got your rate from here). Tag and license is ~ $300. Totaling $36,260.

I was quoted $346.07 below invoice. I told them I wanted USAA pricing and there was no negotiation whatsoever. He came back with a price and I was very content with it. So I will be a proud Tacoma owner in what he said could be 45 days. He is going to see if he can get their first allocated vehicle to be mine. I can't wait!

Sometimes the best way to negotiate is to just figure out a number that you are comfortable with and say I am willing to buy today for this price $$ OUT THE DOOR excluding tax, but including everything else (ie destination, tags, etc). Figure out a way to make it happen.

I did that with the truck I am driving now. I called the dealer on the phone and said I was driving to Northern NJ to pickup an F-150 from a different dealer. However, if they sold me the sport trac for $xxx,xx, then I would buy that from them instead of the F-150 from the other dealer. Also said that I would pass their exit in 20 min and once I pass them, I am not turning around. So, you have 20 min to call me back and let me know if we have a deal. Otherwise, I am buying the F-150 from the other guy. It only took them 10 min to call me.

$100 over invoice is what I can get working at the dealer. We are selling 15s well under invoice right now so I may wait till spring and see if they will give me a better deal.

Are you guys figuring in Doc Fees when you list your price before Tax and title? Doc Fees should be added to the cost of the truck. In Florida they can be as high as $999. I priced mine with dealer doc fees. My price before Doc fees is $32867 Add $349 for Doc fees and the truck costs $33,216 Plus $355 Tax and title which works out to around $499 over invoice

I was given an OTD price. He did say that the tag fee is the absolute maximum it would be so it will most likely be lower. Doc fees were tough to swallow but he wouldn't budge on them. I still feel like I came out on top given a new generation. See all charges below:
