Supercharger crankshaft pulley replacement?

    After a botched install of a 2.8 pulley in which I had to end up taking a cut off wheel to remove it from the snout of the blower, I am looking for alternatives here. (I refuse to to talk about that and choose to leave it at that).

    I would like to stick to the stock 3.0 pulley, but I would like to explore some other lower cost options to increase boost. Water/Meth injection is one which would work well, as E85 but the tuning involved for E85 requires additional steps and the water meth injection initial cost of $500 easy is a bit much.

    So that brings me to another simple solution that should work, as it would allow boost to build faster, much like a smaller supercharger pulley would; a smaller crankshaft pulley replacement for the one supplied with the supercharger kits.

    I have searched high and low to no avail as a smaller than stock replacement. Does anyone offer these that I don't know about? If they were offered in billet aluminum that would be pretty awesome. Something that would up the boost to 8psi. Remove the belt, remove the bolt, take off the pulley, reinstall new smaller pulley and the bolt, reinstall the belt. Boom, all done. No need to freeze snouts and heat this pulley and fuck with this, that and the other. Also, there would be absolutely no need to be cutting the snout to fit a smaller pulley. Just remove, replace, (retune if necessary) and go.

    I wonder if NST would still be able to build a smaller SC drive pulley than stock size supplied. They HAVE to still have the stock sizing specs for them I'm sure.

    I would take mine off and have a machine shop create one for me, but that would require obvious downtime. Since they are only sold as part of the supercharger kit it would be a bit difficult to get my hands on just that part alone I'm sure.

    They would likely do it the same way I was attempting to do the install. Heat the pulley, get the snout cold, then attempt to do the install one shot using the same type of install tool I was using. I was using a MAC tools one also. Real high quality one and the thing (pulley) still seized up halfway in the install.

    Thing is, I dont want to risk to chance being down the truck because of a tiny little pulley, even if it is their mess up.

    It sucks too because I have a 2.8 URD stealth pulley lying around just collecting dust. I would love to have it on the truck, but it's a lot of trouble and potentially very risky.

    Any mathmaticians on this site? I'm trying to figure out how much larger the supercharger crank pulley attachment would need to be in order to equal it to a 2.85 supercharger nose drive pulley swap. Currently the nose drive on a stock build TRD supercharger is a 3.0" (76.20mm) diameter nose drive pulley, and the crank pulley is 6" flat diameter (152.40mm).

    Pulley ratio is 6/3= 2.0 ratio

    How much larger would I need to go on the crank pulley to equal the 1-1.5psi of boost that I want out of it?

    well 6/2.85 = 2.105 ratio

    X/3 = 2.105

    X = 2.105 x 3

    X = 6.315 in crank pully.

    But running a larger crank defeats the purpose... more spinning mass.

    The URD pullies are not hard to put on just do it properly or have someone with the proper tools to do it. Me and a buddy popped his on in 10 minutes.

    And if you do it.... go smaller than the stealth pully. Its such a miniscule difference its hardly noticible. Yes you will have to get the snout cutter to do so but its worth it, (and the needed fuel pump upgrade for the mas boost)
