Does anyone know the difference in ride quality between a kit with and without coil over?

BDS has two kits, one with coil overs and one without. Guess it uses stock ones with a spacer on top.

    Rock Lobster,
BDS with coil overs installed $4118.00
    BDS without installed $2400.00

Diff is 1718.00, is it actually worth paying that much more for it?

I won't be doing any extreme off roading, just beach, little mudding every now and then. It's my daily driver.

Yea but that's ok, it's paid off already and don't plan on trading it in or selling.

I was in the same situation as you when I was going to buy a BDS 6''lift. Fortunately I was lucky and was able to drive one with a spacer and it was pretty damn stiff. So I ended up taking a huge risk spending the extra cash and got the fox coilover kit. Trust me when I say this the ride quality is huge soaks up bumps way better ride is exceptionally smooth on the highway. So that being said I say if you have the extra cash get the coilover kit you won't be disappointed.

Thanks for the input, glad to hear it from someone who already has it.

Definitely worth getting coilovers vs spacers. I however, would go with another coilover than fox. I say that because you do not get much adjust-ability with the fox's and the rear shocks bds provides are way to long

Look into Kings or Icon. If I had to do it again I would have gone with kings

I'll ask shop that's doing the install to see if they will warranty give me lifetime warranty on a different coil being that it's not part of the kit

I chose coilovers over the spacers...it added over 1200 to my final price but i think you definitely pay for what you get...

You can always install the longer bilstein shocks (F4-BE5-E122-T0 ) in front that way you don't have to run the top hat spacer that comes with the basic kit.

Which I also forgot to mention! I also ran these and was pretty happy with them to be honest. Along with some custom length 5125's in the rear.

When I was getting quotes I found the cheapest price I could on the internet for the kit which was like $600 cheaper than the local shop. I printed out the online quote and the shop matched it! Installed!

I am also really glad I got the coilovers. The ride is so worth it. It took me a little longer to save but glad I did.
