AMP Research Power Running Boards, Un-Holy phone mount
WeatherTec mats, Amp Ind. power running boards, Red Line hood struts, Bakflip Revolver tonneau.
All that's about $2500 and the budgets pretty much blown after that. Of course the Pearl Blue or Black??? 4x2 Limited w/tow package.
I bought just about the same accessories for my 2007 AC TRDOR when I bought it new. All these items are quality products I have used before
and don't mind shelling out a little extra for something that I know will work and look good.

Fair enough and I'm sure that's why they put those tires on. Haha

Yea, I wouldn't care for AT's on my Sport 4x2. Got Goodyear AT'some on the wife's Sahara. If I want to go OR then I'Lloyd steal her jeep for the day...LOL.

Question for everyone. Which accessories does it make sense to have the dealer install at the time of purchase? I understand that some things can be done yourself. Here is what I think I will be doing immediately...
    Black tube/running board
    In Channel AVS Vents
    Sprayed on bed liner
    Hard folding Tonneau Cover
    Mud flaps
    blacked out/dipped badges

I feel like I can do just about anything myself, but quite honestly if it costs me just a little more $$ to just have them do it all at once and receive the truck all done, then I may do that. What I don't know is how much I could save by doing it myself.

Are you going to get a get a sprayed on bed liner on a composite bed?

The beds in these trucks are essentially their own liner. Or that's my understanding anyway.

I just test drove a 2015 tacoma and did not like the bed at all. To slippery. I walk in my bed and push dirt bikes up into the bed on my own. I also throw a piece of plywood in the bed that has dirt bike wheel chocks to help me when I tie them down.

A bed mat would make my life more difficult, plus it wouldnt improve traction on the tailgate. Any other solutions to improve traction other than a 500 dollar bed spray?

Yeah, a new pair of shoes. Seriously, it may just be a matter of what you are wearing on your feet when you push the bike up there. If you are wearing your moto boots, then yeah those things are slippery underneath because they have no tread.

All terrain tires suck on the street and the sport is a street truck. I'm getting an OR and would be happy with the Michelins that come on the Sport. They would be great with the MTS when Offroad and good on the streets as well
Only the Tonneau Cover is a deal. You can't get a locking Tonneau for the price after market.

Unfortunately, the truck was ordered without the Tonneau...so I am not going to be able to lock it.

I'm thinking Icon stage 3, Stealth 6 wheels, Toyo AT2 or Mickey Thompson Baja ATZ for the first things on my Limited.

Any thoughts on what I should sell the limited wheels/tires that come with the truck?

Honestly, the only one of those I would consider getting from a dealer would be the tonneau, because the Toyota tonneau is competitively priced at $650 and has some unique features. I'd still shop around to see what other features are available. Everything else you can get cheaper aftermarket.

It is the install that I do not want to have to try to do myself on most of those things. Especially the badges and the running board....and maybe the mud flaps if it requires drilling new holes.

Running boards are typically just a few bolts into existing holes, and if you get custom molded mudflaps, there's usually no drilling. The vent visors are a 5-minute job. You could put those in with both hands tied behind your back.

I dunno if they'll do the badges for you. That would certainly be the most time-consuming. I was looking forward to doing my own, tbh.

thanks for the vote of confidence ! I do my own brakes and other jobs so hopefully I can tackle the running boards. The dealer does do the badges. They have a taco on the showroom floor that they modified already...including blacked out badges.

Do the running boards use tapping screws into the frame or are they bold on into existing holes?

I don't want them but it would be good info to know
