told the folks at the carbuying service (through a credit union, not pumping myself here) that I wanted either green or dk grey but would probably live with red black or blue and not to even bother me with white, silver or gold.

My other car is black, and it looks dirty again just about when I'm done drying it (not ideal for a truck). really the only one I actively don't like is the gold (desert sand?), didn't want white 'cause it seems boring (too rental-car) and has the whole dirt issue and there's already 3-4 silver 2nd gens in the lot at my office.

so far I'm liking the magentic grey, but it does show dirt (day-to-day stuff, that is since there's really no hiding trail dirt) a little more than I would have thought.

I picked white for 2 reasons. First, its appearance seems to stay cleaner, longer. Second, in case I move back to the desert, white reflects the sun and your vehicle stays cooler. i had both black and white vehicles in Phoenix and is does make a huge difference. I do like all the colors except the Desert Sand.
