Yep. Also taking into account the addition of a camper shell.

Couple of questions...if I get the 255/85/16, will they fit on a 16x8 rim with 4.5 backspacing and 0 offset? And does this tire do well in snowy/icy conditions? Thanks

In my opinion they look best when they are kicked out a little farther because they are skinny. Not sure how much a 4.5bs rim will push it out on a second gen though. It will probably look good.

Gonna throw my hat in the ring. Just ordered mine in 265/75/16. 1038 - 75 rebate - 60 CC rebate. Changing from Cooper ATP in the same size.

I was looking at the FN wheels, but originally the plan was the 16x8 wheel...with the lack of 255-85-16 tires, i ended up with 255 80 17 . I don't really care what it looks like, I want max performance....although if it looked cool thats an added bonus!

Well you can look at this thread. If you don't care what it looks like then 4.5bs would be fine.

I guess what I'm asking is there a benefit to having the tires stick out a little further? and would that be achieved with less backspacing / more offset?

Less backspacing has the tires out more. It helps clear wider tires but I don't think it adds any advantage or benefits.

Possibly a slight balance improvement in terms of stance? Especially on lifted trucks.

Dammit!! I'm gonna see if they'll give me some credit back to match that deal.

I've got a set in 255/85r16 coming the end of the week or next week. I didn't get them through DT, but I am getting mine out the door, tax, with lifetime rotation and balance for $790. I've been waiting 4 months for them to come in, so I felt like that was a pretty good deal.

My first impressions from my short drive home. OMFG I love em! What pressure are y'all running specifically 265/75/16 with bumper and armor?
