Cut & broke off stuff. Prolific ziptie and tape usage.
Just do 2.25 straight pipes. Don't need no muffler no how.

You just want sound or looking to gain some hp in higher revs? Willing to give up any torque at low rpm to get that sound or hp?

That's probably gonna happen no matter what. Headers are where the "power" comes from in these trucks. If looking for power/torque then that's where you need to look. Look at a muffler for sound only. As far as which is better then the other, if you like the sound of both then materials might sway you one way or the other. I also wouldn't pay for a catback system but instead just buy a muffler. The exhausts on these trucks are pretty efficient on these motors and the pipe size is perfect. A catback comes with the same size stock pipe so why pay for a new one?

I want to eventually get headers, but not there yet (I think I like the DT Long Tube). My exhaust sounds like pure shit, I think I hit something at windrock cuz there a nice rattling evertime I accelerate that makes it sound like a blown up civic, which I cant put up with. SO by doing a cat back, with the intent to get headers, is that the right way to go about it, or either way, am I better off with a new muffler and thats it? That makes a HUGE price difference for sure. Thanks for the input, keep it comin

I really like the look of my Avid Offroade sliders personally. I think at the end of the day they are all the same in the sense that its tube steel thats going to get smashed against rocks in the end (minus quality of craftsmanship). I think its going to come mainly down to what look you like the best, then see if whatever company that is, has a good customer service/quality.

Pretty sure it's 2.25" which should be plenty for the power output of these engines. As others have mentioned, the exhaust after the cats isn't really the bottleneck. Headers and a mid pipe (y-pipe, whatever) are where you'll see your gains. People like to talk a lot about this exhaust size vs. that, but at the end of the day you aren't building a race motor with a tuned exhaust from head to tailpipe. Don't overthink it, what you want to spend your money on, what is reputable, and most importantly just go with what you like.

yea, Ive been wanting to look into a new sound (deeper/throatier) and I really liked the Wicked Flow 18" I got about 4 years ago, I think I want the same one, in the 13" to get the sound I want. You guys turned me away from catback for all the reasons you guys said, so thank you, from the bottom of my wallet. If its not practical, I dont want to waste my time or money on it.

That last statement is a good one. Armor is one of those things that you put a lot of faith in to protect your truck and protect you. It can be ugly as fuck but if it's built right and does it's job then you got what you paid for. Me personally, I would never purchase something from someone who at one point, whether past or present, produced a questionable quality product. You either care about your work and providing others with a quality product and quality service or you don't. Theres many companys that make very similar items that have a fantastic reputation for quality and service. Theres also plenty of info on this forum about who those company's are. Find the look you like, check on their reputation and choose from there.

I have BAMF and they are well built and I like the look. His customer service has been questioned before but not his quality

True I got Bruteforce because his price and quality are top notch however I believe Bamf comes ready to weld onto the frame unlike Bruteforce which I had to do some work to before or welded them on.
