2016 build and price webpage?

When will the 2016 Tacoma show up on the Toyota website as a car you can build and price?

 

That is the million dollar question. Along with what was the use to sign up to be kept informed on the new Tacoma? Have received zero emails.
This site has been more informative than Toyota.

 

Now that labor day is over, I would expect within the next few days, maybe a week.

 

Toyota will put it up when they feel their dealers have cleared off enough 2015 models. Funny that they have other 2016 models but not the Tacoma. Probably only happens like this when there is a redesign (or half redesign in this case).

 

They are advertising the last day for their Annual Clearance Event as today. Maybe tomorrow it's available? Maybe that's wishful thinking but it's kind of ridiculous considering you can order them and the dealers are more than happy to accept a deposit.

 

Yeah I never received any email information either after signing up months ago. Worthless. Why I didn't they even send the press release? they are totally screwing up the marketing for the new truck. Or maybe making us think it is a unicorn is actually working!

 

Even the dealers are being kept in the dark. Since today is the last day of the clearance event then the 2016 push should start tomorrow or Thursday. Absolutely no updates on any builds from August.

 

we had the 16 tundras in the lot a few days before the website showed them. But guessing this months sales deals are ending today I'd bet sometime within the next week

 

I've been wondering the same thing. According to this article, I would think it would go up on 9/10 when the Tacoma officially goes up for sale.

It is funny to see that their refer to the 2016 as the 9th generation !!!

 

With all the noise around here, and the reporta bout exceded demand, do you really think they still need marketing? Tacoma will sell anyway without them spending any advertisement $$$.

 

WOW, that is the first time the official roll out date is mentioned. Friggin Toyota Dealers dont even know.. FYI, My Fleet Sales guy just called and stated that mine may get built today(was 8/19) since the 8/18 build was built just built and delivery is slated for the 10th. He says there is no way that a build only takes 4 days to get to the dealer. He thinks it is fishy. Says not to be surprised if the next call in a day or 2 is that my truck is here. The Dealerships really dont have a clue!!!

 

Maybe they need to stick a UPS package inside the truck so they can have some idea where the hell the truck is at.

 

Sep 10 is the day (official) for the first ones. The Toyota site should have info on
that day.

I hear ya brother (hulk hogan voice). I signed up for new info as soon as they had the link and not once have I received any info. This sight has been a wealth of knowledge not only on the 3rd gen, but with second gen stats and info.

Tire sizes, lift issues, mod ideas, anything and everything. Toyota.com not so much

 

Yea, not a peep out of Corporation. Big brother is keeping wraps on the info. Maybe it the military's new HUMTACO.

 

mine sent me a real VIN. They were able to source ans pick off an allocation going to NC in what I ordered and were successful in getting it rerouted. I still don't know when its coming. He thinks sooner rather than later because he indicated it was sold. But who knows maybe October...

 

if the last 8 characters of the vin has GM..X... where X is an alpha character, then that's is not a real vin number.

its just a placeholder vin.
