    I get your point. But if one really wanted to get down to it, the AFR intake is not a CAI as it pulls air from the stock location in the passenger fender. Now if I had say a UDR CAI. I would think about swaping back to stock.
    Also if they really wanted to fuck with me they could, as I'm using a modified FJ fit kit.

    The stock box is technically a CAI if you really want to go there, so pretty much every aftermarket intake is a true CAI, except the ones that pull from the engine bay.

    Look, point being I just wanted to throw a warning down for you and everyone else about showing up with your Supercharger and an aftermarket intake. Toyota put down a blanket statement against aftermarket CAI's because they provide more airflow and can possibly cause a lean out condition. I don't know your situation or your dealer or how cool they are, Nor do i care lol, But other people might not benefit from the same, so I just want to spread the information about it.

    I just got off the phone with the parts manager and he told me as of last Thursday the word was after Magnuson fulfills it contract with Toyota it will start selling the S/C as an aftermarket. Should be 2 or 3 months. July 6th was the last day for dealers to order and Magnuson has to fill those orders first. He has my name on the list to call as soon as he can order them again.

    Why would you be? The only difference I can see if the radiator support/radiator @ coolant reservore mount, just get the individual parts

    The heat exchanger had to be modified to work. Moving on of the coolant outlets to the side from the front and the mounts needed to be cut off from the side and moved to the top and bottom.

    I guess we'll wait and see. I called the guy about some other parts I ordered and asked him about the S/C. It's hard for me to believe that he made this up on the fly.

    I understand that but if you just purchased the heat exchanger as a stand alone & hood bracket, everything else is the same, yes-no?

    To be honest if he ran any radiator that would fit in there it would be fine. I'm sure he could find something at a scrap yard that would work.

    The problem with buying the heat ex-changer by its self is the price. Its around $900. If you really wanted you could use the stock hood support bracket and cut it down to fit. The wiring harness for the pump can be picked up online from a few different places. I posted a link for that. You could also just order a Afco heat ex-changer for a 03-04 cobra and have that modded to work. I posted in the performance section that I am going to have ETS build be a upgraded heat ex-changer and coolant rez. Once I have that done. I will post pics. If there is enough interest they may turn in into a kit.
