Will do. I did mention it leaks oil right? Brakes are new but at least one side's wheel seal is covered in oil. I'll let you know when I get it out of the truck

 

I cant say, but id personally ask some racers and at the MORE trailer they should tell you some good spots.

Thanks, that was my fail safe. I've had credentials in the past and shouldn't have a issue getting them updated so if need be I'll go that route.

Probably a stupid question but with all the endless complaints about how bad the Gen1 steering racks are and that they suck. Has anyone simply gone to a solid mount setup on the rack out of curiosity? Delrin bushings on the drivers side and actual mounting tabs on the pass side? If so, any feedback?

Is there any spindle gusset kit out for the 05+ tacoma's that would be strong enough to bump off the upper arm?

 

Not really an upper arm that you can do that that isn't custom made anyways.

 

A local shop is bumping off the uca uniball using a bump pad like this.

They are running a total chaos kit on their lsx powered 88 toyota race truck btw. Not their truck in the link though.

 

Tommy at Poly Performance got me a box of goodies in quick order.

Trail gear 6 lug d60 unit hubs and mounting pockets.

 

huh..interesting. That would be nice. Better then bumping of the LCA...

That seems super sketchy to me and not something I'd do.

 

Not sketchy at all. Lots of desert racers have their bumps set up this way.

 

That's how every a-arm race truck is set up, you just have to have a strong enough spindle to handle it. No a stock gusseted spindle is not strong enough, unless it's an older pickup spindle or something

 

Damn, guess I have to save up some more pennies for a kit that has fabbed 4x4 spindles.
