That's very interesting, I had not realized this until now. Curious if that's truly the case, but it certainly looks that way!

Just making sure. I saw the list and wasn't sure if the list was forwarded to UG for confirmation and if I needed to be on the list or not. Thanks.

UG website says, "The UltraGauge MX 1.3 is identical to the UltraGauge EM 1.2 except that the MX 1.3 has the ability to POTENTIALLY access manufacturer specific gauges."

And here I thought the most expensive model had all the features.

UG needs a better website and MUCH more clear marketing materials.

I just noticed what might be typo. If you read the what's included in the box info on the 1.2 it says "EM Plus" is included in the box. But the EM Plus is supposed to be a different model.

I ordered a MX 1.3 thinking it had all the features. Didn't realize I was giving up readiness checks and performance stuff just to read Transmission temps.

It's no wonder they have no phone number on their website. As confusing as their website is they'd be inundated with calls.

Ordered! I got all three mounts so I can try them all. May have one left over after I mount the UltraGauge.

    OP, thank you again!

PS. Not sure what I am losing by getting the MX 1.3 and not the plus. Like previous posters I thought the MX 1.3 had EVERYTHING the Plus had and included the trans temp. Because I will be towing I want the trans temp but didn't want to lose other functionality! :notsure:

I guess you can add me to the list of suckers who purchased an MX thinking it had all the features :x I got my an MX for myself, and the EM Plus for my father as a Christmas present. Oh well, it is what it is and not really a deal breaker either way.

I'm glad more people than I alone are a little confused by that. I don't see why the most expensive model would exclude features. I don't see why it can't do everything, considering it's the same hardware. I also agree that this is not clearly marketed and would like an explanation...

I don't think any of them do 0-30, 0-60, or any of that for our tacomas? Not sure why you would even want that?

The Plus model also scans and watches readiness codes which is good for troubleshooting check engine lights.

Ordered the MX1.3 this morning. Also got the vertical and horizontal mounts. I'll see which one works better for me.
