truly sorry for your loss, genuinely.
i believe in personal responsibility, and punishments for people who break laws, but not overly stiff laws that punish everyone because of the acts of a few.

Agreed. It does get old hearing all the bs about the gen 3 because people want to feel better about owing many more years of payments on a gen 2.

looks to me like a 15 Tacoma with a dodge front and rear end. those over fenders look square compared to a sleeker look on a 15. meh.

It goes both ways guys. Lots of 3rd gen guys before the specs where claiming this and that and saying it was this and that and the 2nd gen guys were just making valid points about how they were wrong, from the cab to mpg, etc. It goes both ways, some 3rd gen guys are ridiculous and so are some 2nd gen guys. Both are great trucks in their own right and everyone is entitled to their own opinions, some think its ugly others not, but you cant just blindly say its a bunch of angry 15 owners who are jealous, that is certainly an immature and invalid argument sure a few may feel that way but a lot of the "haters" as you refer to have been here awhile and bought their 15's after the 16 release with full knowledge of a new truck. Sure its a Toyota sure it will be reliable but 2nd gens are also a proven platform, people buy for all different reasons. I mean lets be honest here the new gen isn't anything leaps and bounds different, improved yes but come on besides 2+ mpg and some tech its essentially the same truck bones, which is fine, (my coworkers didn't even think they were different gens) I think everyone needs to calm their sensitiveness down and assumptions. We are all Tacoma guys.

will be paid off this fall. but I'm going to enjoy life without payments for 10 years or so, rather than get a new truck haha

2nd Gen. paid for, I like the look of the 2004's better, & there's no plans for a RC rebirth...

It looks pretty good. Though the more pics I see the more the truck looks like a refresh instead of a redesign. Lots of parts appear to have been carried over to the new model.

One can never have too many light bars.
I agree. Looks like they edited the photo to reduce the glare and give it more of a matte look. Even Toyota's marketing department knows it looks ugly!

I was not bashing the 2016 at all. I like it and may get one someday. I was just saying that right now, I prefer my 2015 better. If that bothers some of you guys, sorry. I will refrain from posting in in the 3rd gen in the future.

I like the overall appearance.. But up til now, none have lived up to the 02,03 double cab off-road look... NONE! But with that said I do like it.. Only thing is the sport wheels are just awful..

I moded 1999 Taco so much it had turned to Land Cruiser
And many 2gen owners would run to get 1 gen... if Toyota was still selling them produced in NUMMI, with nice older engine.
