Does it use the tapped holes same as factory rack and PrinSu?

:gossip: Gonna have so much room for activities!

Unfortunately the access cabs do not have the factory tapped holes. I will have to drill holes and use rivnut/plusnuts and silicone to mount tracks on the cab like the ones I have mounted on the shell.

Do you think it would be ok to straddle the cap and cab with stuff on the roof? Example if i wanted to move the tent all the way forward on the rack so i could put bikes and such on the back i would have to put part of the tent on the front rack and part of it on the back rack. Thoughts??

That's a wild concept. I can see it working for sure tho as long as the racks are flush with each other. I day dream bout an RTT and how I would put it on the cab and keep the safari basket open on the cap for cargo. My cap isn't reinforced for racks :anonymous:

But as always I can't justify a RTT, I'd rather ground tent to leave the roof open for anything. Never seen one rig carry RTT and kayaks or etc..

Touche. Maybe an investment of those kayak rack mounts would work. But I will still need to run RTT on the cab like this guy in the front ^^ and figure out a better mount for my 10' and 9' kayaks. And avoid low bridges :p

Time for an expo trailer  Spend 1 night in an RTT and you'll never go back to sleeping in a ground tent

I would love a trailer except I go so many places with tight turn arounds and dead end roads, turning around would be a PITA.. Plus im hoping ill never need to bring enough stuff to need a trailer. Unless its a trip to Alaska

Not recommended. The cab and truck bed flex independently by design. Especially off road. You could probably straddle both but I would not make the load rigid and I don't think I'd do it with a RTT.

I hope to never have enough stuff to need a trailor..... but with mountain bikes, kayaks, RTT, dog, etc. It adds up quick.

Im thinking about getting a set of these extended travel 5100s. After doing the OME D29XL AAL and the shackle flip my OME shocks are the limiting factor in the rear. The OME are 13.85″x23.93″ and these are 16.434"X27.28". That will give me 3.35" more down travel in the rear. I will prob swap out the fronts to 5100s while im at it.

I felt a HUGE difference when I went from Bilstein rear shocks to my kings (I better have since they cost so much) but you might want to look at fox or icon. So much better of a ride if your budget allows

I went with a 12" travel Icon for my rear and the ride is much better and the springs are still my limiting factor but I have about 5 more inches of downtravel
