cheap black wheels?

hey guys, im interested in getting some very basic black steel wheels and remember a few years back finding them for around $45 bucks new from american racing. Now i cant seem to find anything under $120!!! any ideas on where to get them? thanks

i would strongly suggest Type B...

Type A are stock backspace, which will limit your tire size choices later down the road...

the Type B wheels are 4" backspace which work great with 33s with aggressive sidewalls...

 

If you're going with 31X10.50-15s, why not keep the stock wheels and spend the money on Bil 5100s? By the way, if you buy the "B" rims for the variety of tire sizes, don't go with 15" rims. There is only about one tire manufacturer out there that makes a 33X10.50-15. Now if you're talking 16" rims, things open up a lot.

 

dang thanks everyone those are sweet! I would probly keep the stock wheels but they are the ugly steel silver ones. as far as type "a" or "b" goes, will they work ok with 31 10.50's and how do 31's look with a 2.5 inch lift?

 

i would still go type b so you have options later if/when you decide to get bigger tires or want to resell the wheels down the line...

 

Do a Google search for Soft Eights. The are black steel Outlaw II style like the ones pictured above. I just saw them new online for about $40 bucks about 2 weeks ago. I was going to get them, but found a set of stock alloys from a forum member which I prefer. I'll try to find them for you and post the link "IF" I find it.

soft 8s look bad ass, but just be warned that just about every tacoma owner i have met with that wheel had to get wheel spacers to run them...

the dimple dies on the holes hit the brake calipers, so your two options are wheel spacers or to grind your brake calipers down a tad

 

man soft 8s are badass and cheap! about those wheel spacers.....how much are they and ....any downsides?

These are the ones I got a few years back. Great guys to deal with. I ran into a fit issue over the caliper on a completely different set (not these) but these fit perfect and they look hot too on my truck...

 

Just dont go hard on these wheels my friend tacoed them in with 31s at 20psi.
