So I have been having the VSC and ABS lights on the dash coming on and switching off periodically for the past few months.

Before anyone suggests, I have already:

Searched TW for related threads (and learned a lot)
Disconnected the battery for 20 mins
Disconnected the wheel sensors and sprayed compressed air into them
Disconnected the master cylinder sensor and made sure it was clean

Used a method of "jumper wire" to clear the ABS and VSC lights ...worked for a while but they are back on.

bit the bullet today and took it to the dealer....was expecting to have them hit me with a $50-100 diagnostic fee ...but they didn't charge me!

Long story short....they told me I had the follow codes and that they cleared them:

    PO504 Brake Switch A/B correlation
C0200 RH Front Speed Sensor Circuit
    C1246 Master Cylander Pressure Sensor
C1249 Open Circuit in Stop Light Circuit
C1440 Steering Angle Sensor- Unusual Bank Angle Detected

I was pressed for time at the dealer and when I went to start her up the ABS/VSC lights were still on.

Not sure what to do at this point as the above codes are all over my head. Hoping a tech could chime in...or maybe Chris 4x4?

Truck has a lift but the lift has been on for 3 years with no issues. I also recently changed out the lift (front and rear) but the lights have been doing this since before then...

    Where to start?

    Reserected from the dead.
Sounds similar to the troubles that can happen to the Tundra's. We do a "Zero point calibration". Not sure if this is something you can do to the Tacoma's.

I have been chasing something similar recently and I think I remember a fuse for the brake lights that also play with those lights as well. Check your fuses. Don't know if that a would fix your original problem but might be worth looking at for the current issues.

The brake switch is easy enough to install myself? I'm fairly mechanically inclined. I'm pretty sure those other codes are from me discount eating the master Cylander plug and wheel bearing clips while trying to trouble shoot. The codes that concern me are the two related to the stop switch. Anyone replace this on their own? Also I did a quick scan of the switch and nothing seems broken...all the plastic is intact. Could it just be an internal switch fault?

Yes it is very easy to replace and check. Do you have a multimeter?

There are two sets of contacts inside the switch. When one set is closed the other set is open. The corellation ( P0504 ) issue is that if one set of contacts sticks closed you would have both sets showing closed at the same time...

Everything is pointing to the switch.
