Sweet! Finally broke her in!

 

Washed the truck. Pulled the front mud flaps off and trimmed them because I was tired them grinding on every rock or bump I drove over. After removing the mud flaps I discovered a nice groove worn in the paint on the fender flare. I trimmed the flaps to get them off the paint. Kind of ghetto but it works. Waxed underneath the flaps. Guess this makes Line-X fender flares seem like that much better of an idea in addition to aftermarket mud flaps.

Put her on some new wheels beadlock style in grey. Took the pic before putting in the center cap , gonna rock them without the ring for a while
I was gonna take another pic after putting in the center cap and little screws but sun went down

 

I don't understand the 2 Jacks up front Lol. There is a single jack point up there, if anything put the 2 Jacks under the rear. Or use jack stands!

 

Some people working at these small shops sometimes the don't know what there doing, but way cheaper than labor at the dealer

 

This doesn't look very safe... all it would take is one little slip and BAM! ...custom body work too.

 

I've only had my truck for a couple of month so haven't even jacked it up my self . But how is one jack gonna make it any safer

 

Use jackstands. That whole setup is a recipe for maiming, death, and destruction.

 

Uh...The point I was trying to make is there are safer ways to do something like this with things like jack stands, hydraulic lifts, etc. Holding up the whole truck with nothing but 3 floor jacks is a bit stupid in my opinion. If I saw someone doing this to my truck, I would have to resist the urge to smack the idiot who was doing it.

 

I know but this guy said the truck has a single jack point up there , as for this case a hydraulic lift would be the best option but it is what it is job got done

 

Yes 3 points are better than 2, but there is a specific jack point up front, put the 2 Jacks at the rear. I have an aftermarket skid so heck with a jack point lol.
Or better yet 2 jack stands on the rear axle!

 

The dolly jacks you are using have wheels and are not meant to hold the truck up, only lift it to the desired height, then you place jackstands under the the designated points: two under the front crossmember and two under the rear axle. Then you release the jacks slowly until it is resting securely on all four stands.

I made the mount by myself cutting the size of bracket I want in an old bed frame. A 3/8" washer in the rail is holding the bracket to it.

I ordered the 60" and plan on cutting it down to fit my top. I also found a 5% off code by googling campsaver discount, but I can't remember what it was.

ORS Racks Direct also has them for a few bucks more, but I found a 10% coupon for them after I had already ordered. It would have been about a $1.50 cheaper through ORS.
