Most people don't realize that even when you put on different tires you should still go with the door placard. They always want to go with the "max PSI" stamped on the sidewall. IMO Tacoma pressures are a bit low, 26 and 29 on my gen 1. But still, just cuz I'm running E rated BFGs doesn't mean I have to run 80 PSI lol.

@OP if it was just you first 5k they shouldn't have done much more than inspection, oil change and tire rotation. Check you lugs and oil level, other than that it's probably just you being paranoid.

Yes, but you sjould not run 29 in a E rated tire. I run 46 in my Ds and ran 42 in my load C Duratracs

The Jeep dealership drove my Wrangler into the wall when I took it in for an oil change. :drunk:

True... I wouldn't run 29 in any tire honestly. I keep them at 35 psi and they're wearing nicely. 40+ psi though and the ride would be unbearable. My Icons are already stiff enough lol

Tires should be run within the pressure range the tire manufacturer recommends. Toyota expects owners to continue running the same or similar tires as what came on the vehicle when new, and many people do just that. (TW owners often being the exception). Just remember that operating within a different pressure range will make the TPMS system less effective since it's based on Toyota's recommended pressures.

I've seen a similar issue in the motorcycle world. My 1983 BMW recommends lower pressures than what the current tire manufacturers recommend even though it's the same brand and type of tire that came on the bike when new. I run within the tire manufacturers recommended pressure range.

Recommended psi on mine is 46. TPMS is set accordingly

I've got 48 in my E rated tires that seem to work well. Stiff ride but it's a good compromise with even wear and mileage/acceleration

Didn't even bother. I have lifted it, welded on it, drilled on it, ground on it so I figured what's a little crack. Just would have rather ME do it instead of someone else.
