    well in THAT case...

No lift for now, but I know what I'll be doing when the time comes. For now, it's debadged, improved features in the cab (clearview, flyzeye. weathertech) and new sneakers before snow flies. it's love.

I spent thousands of dollars to lift my 03 extended cab a couple of inches. At the time I was running 265/75 r16 Duratracs. Now I got 1/2 inch lift in the front with a Toytec top plate spacer for $150 (plates, install and alignment) and Firestone Airbags for about a inch of lift in the back for $200 (installed myself). So for $350 I got about a inch lift which does give the truck a much better stance. But in the end there wasn't much of a difference between either of my trucks and a stock one...

I looked at a sport when I was shopping but all they had in stock was white. What is the major differences other than the hood?

Sport has the skewp on the hood, color matched grille/bumper, different wheels and lacks the e-locker and ATRAC of the Off road.

    there's a discussion happening here
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/trd-sport-vs-trd-offroad.387886/#post-10653066

But from when I was shopping there were some pretty major differences.

    cosmetic:

    rims SP: 17" OR: 16"
    hood scoop on the sport
    color keyed

    functional:
rim's 16's on the OR allow greater sidewall for froading
    locker and ATRAC

Tow Package available on all. (huge benefit in my view)

I saw the painted grill and rear bumper. Didn't like it. Dealer acted like the sport was a nicer truck with more features. I like the rear locker and the outlet in the bed and I'm old school so I like chrome. Mine was a demo with 2600 miles on it so they knocked $4k off the price. And financed it as a new truck :)

The wheels are procomp 7089s. Tires look like 265s.

Smart. I had 35s on the truck for about 2 weeks before I could swap 3rds. It sucked.

Great deal! I love my Sport, but spend anytime around here and how they start is just that. I like the idea of the locker, I'll put it on my list. Next will be sliders, most likely, though.

After a moment of thought, I guess what I want (and will eventually build) is a Limited Offroad Sport. In MGM, of course.
