I couldn't bring myself to shell out the cash on a gamble which the JBA arms still feel like to me. After re-reading this entire thread I ended up ordering a set of Camburg arms instead. No one's alignment numbers look that great with the JBA arms, most that claim good alignments are around 2° of caster (which I know is in spec) but if I'm shelling out for caster corrected arms I'd rather be closer to 2.5°. The material was also a deciding factor for me, I'd much rather have suspension components made from 4130 chromoly steel than A36 structural steel which is what the JBA arms were said to be made of in this thread.

I hope Marlin gets these dialed in because they look like a great product at an awesome pricepoint and his customer service sounds amazing. I just couldn't justify shelling out full retail money for something that still seems to be in development. Plus my truck is my daily driver so I didn't really want to risk the possibility of having it down to swap out arms and stuff.

I am in the process of reading this whole thread and I am bouncing back and forth after every post I read. LOL

I just got some King coilovers on a GB and was going to just stay with the stock UCA's but now I think it's best to finish the buy once, cry once mentality and do this right. I'm really thinking of getting these if not for the customer service alone. But now I see this and wonder if this is the best way to go? I'm not planing on doing any major (if at all) off roading. I'm only lifting the taco for appearance and assurance of getting to work on bad weather days. I have already learned that I would need a 0/0/2 for the alignment to be happy. I really want the stock ride but just sitting higher. I may just take the plunge and see where the alignment lands.

Good information overall. Thank you TW!!!!!!!!!!!!

    From an email from Marlin:

We designed the a-arms to get a factory alignment on a lift 2"to 3" tall lift.

I am learning the guys want more caster to get more stability at high speeds.

If you are 3" plus you will not get 2.5 caster. If you are around 2.0" or 2.5" I believe the 2.5 caster will be achieved.

We are working on a high caster arm to work on the taller Toyotas.

    Thanks
    Marlin Gehman

    and

From what I see as long as you are at 2” you can get 2 degs of caster without a problem.

Get your Toyota ready with the lift and then measure your total lift. At 2” you will be fine with our a-arms

    Thanks
    Marlin Gehman

So if I order a set now, will I be able to obtain the desired 2-2.5 caster range for trucks that are lifted no more that 3 inches? Or should I wait until he does some more research and makes a third version? Remember most of us want to stay below the 3" mark because of the CV boot rubbing issue. I don't need custom ones, I just want something that will give me the best handling at all speeds.

Any up date on the UCA's? I'm still wanting to install my King shocks but waiting to find out if I should wait for another version, get what he is building now or take a chance and see if my stock UCA's will give me the caster to get a correct alignment.

Dang it!!!!!! :annoyed: I was all set and decided to take a chance and keep my stock UCAs and install my Kings this coming weekend before it gets too cold. Now you have to tease me with the new and improved UCA's that MIGHT come out in a week or two. UGH, you are killing me smalls. :p

Went ahead and installed my Kings over the weekend and running out of alignment for now. Also waiting to see what kind of results you get. Will these arms help prevent 33's from rubbing on the fenders while turning the wheel at full stop?

sweet... do I get a Jesus DVD with these too?!?!?!?

Martin does some good work, I have his arms on my CRD KJ. You just have to deal with his shoving of religious beliefs down your throat when you open the box.

LOL, there's a guy up here in Canada that does good work too but has the exact same "problem", if you want to call it that.

No, not on the UCA's. I'm rubbing on the front inside corner when I turn the wheel in and the back inside corner when turning the wheel out. I'm sure it is the back spacing of the wheel because the whole tire sticks out about an inch.
