Autonation, IH-35 between Ben White and Stassney. Talk to Nassir - he's Internet Sales, but dialed in to the best Inventory Manager in Toyota. They go way back to when it was Champion Toyota, and the team is still awesome. They can do computer magic.

I've posted his contact details, but I can PM you them if you prefer. Tell Nassir "The Captain" sent you, and I think we get coffee cups or something.

First dealership I've ever had email screenshots of the Toyota build system. My heroes.

This is the same dealership I am working with. I am working with Laura, she's been great. Emailed me screenshots of everything so far. She's just stating that my truck was set for the 15th and has gone to everything is in "limbo" with release date.

Anyone know how many units the Tacoma can crank out in a day?

Brian, the Inventory Manager, explained there's a parts availability issue right now. More people want the extra goodies than the factories have ready to build into the trucks.

Oh man, that sucks. I ordered 4X2 SR5 and when I first put down the deposit she said it would be delivered around the 15th. It doesn't have anything fancy in it, no jbl or any of that. I hope they arent holding on to the truck for a shortage of predator bars haha.

No. They need to scrounge up all the electronics goodies (rear sensors and blind-spot), NAV, JBL, moonroof, and squeeze them into the DCLB TRD Sport.

If they ran out of Blazing Blue Pearl I'll be really torqued!

Thanks for the info, I hope I get my Barcelon Red 4x2 SR5 sooner than later. At this point I am waiting until the 15th and seeing what happens.

I'm in northern Virginia, and I have a build date of Sept 29 for an access cab TRD OR with no options.

"they were not going to allocate any with the non JBL premium and tech packages"

The double negative says you want one without the JBL premium and tech package. Is that what you meant?

There's premium and tech package. Then there's premium and tech package with JBL thrown in too.

I personally ordered premium/tech package no JBL audio upgrade.

Premium and Tech no JBL. Its overpriced for what it is. I can do my own audio upgrades with better stuff for less just with what I have laying around.

I had a build date of 9/2 that came and went. Good luck though.

Meaning it wasn't built, or just that it hasn't been delivered yet?

Date came and went. No update from dealer. Contacted and "oh yeah um didnt happen. Don't know when now". Killed the deal as they would also not play ball on pricing once I got a better quote.

Oh, sorry to hear that. I hope those of us hanging on build dates aren't just being led around by the nose.

I was wondering the same thing, but I thought about more, I was there the day after my build date, dealer said four to six weeks for delivery. After figuring all that out we worked out a trade in price, he based it off of six weeks and 1k miles out. That price is on paper. Maybe that all means nothing but it keeps me content.

My 9/17 build date got pushed to 9/24. DCLB OR P&T w/JBL - sport with same options and a build date of tomorrow got pushed a week as well. I'm guessing it is the shortage the Captain is talking about causing the problem. She wasn't sure but was going to check.
