Brian Crower actually bores them even larger. To make a combined liter size of 4.66 liters. With my bore of 3.800" that only makes for a 4.17 liter (254.505"). That would only be 4.47 L combined with the stroker crank. So yup. 100%.

Only on the stroker engine am I adding that. WPC treating the sleeves, all journals, wrist pins, pistons, and rings. Likely ceramic coat the bearings as well. A ton of friction will be reduced with the rings alone, and overall as well.

 

You know of any dynos on one of the 4.66L engines? I can't find any. Would be interesting to see what numbers they get.

 

I do not. Only thing I know of is that they were built for UAE and Saudi customers.

I'll have to sit back and take your word on that. I've only ever heard stories.

 

On a couple of convoy trips, we noticed brand new Mercs or other expensive cars abandoned on the side of the road out in the middle of nowhere. Couldn't figure out why until some of the local contractors told us: the owners of the abandoned vehicles will buy them off the showroom floor with a full tank of gas, drive it till the fuel runs out, and leaves it on side of the road. In the meantime, they go back to the dealership for another brand new car. It wasn't common but enough to know.

I wouldn't believe it unless I saw it with my own two eyes. It's a much different world over there.

Well to put it into perspective, when Ibn Saud consolidated his monarchy and country, his wealth could have been stored in his saddlebags in their entirety. Oil made his country what it is now and what it will be in the future, and you better believe that the movers and shakers damn well know it. Monarchy can't survive without happy citizens, so citizens are kept just fat enough to keep the grumbling to a minimum. Monarchy can't keep citizens happy without a hell of a strong economic strategy, and when it comes to oil and oil refining, the Saudis are the end game. They literally have nothing else. So they're damned smart, even with the stupid amount of financial waste Same with Kuwait. Their economy was pearls until a Japanese rice farmer changed the world with synthetic pearls. Only way Kuwait survived was oil and their strategic location.

Nostalgia. For what that engine is. I couldn't let it go to waste. Since I'm not over boring the stroker, I want to see what this can do. Basically, stock heads on a larger liter 1GR, which can obviously handle boost. No need to raise the rpm much. Boost it to 15psi, with the Borg Warner, and see what kind of power it makes. Ultimately, unless I sell it, it will be my spare built block.

I'm guessing with a new tune, it should be mid 500's to the wheels, with that turbo and psi. Which would mean around 600 wtq.

Went to Dubai a few times. They have a ski slope inside their Emirates mall. We weren't aloud on it but I couldn't resist the temptation to snow ski in the middle of a desert (evidence deleted, sorry but got some shots from outside)

Also one of the local yacht's that was longer than our ship...

Stupid money. At the mall of the Emirates, you would see daily driver Ferrari's, Lamb's, etc...

Agreed. It's literally mind blowing. You feel stupid looking at the stuff made of dreams.

Unfortunately, the grotesque & extensive human-trafficing in Dubai (who do you think builds all those pretty things?) Is equally mind blowing.

 

The thing about Dubai is the riches were only matched by the poverty. There is no middle class.

Called a gt0632sz, good for a solid 80HP. Now you can finally turbo a ride on mower.
