I have a 2007 2wd TRD off road and will be ordering these very soon. I noticed in the pictures that the ARP bolts are longer than stock, does this mean a new style lug nut will be required? I have the Mickey Thompson Side Biter wheel and im sketch on those studs being too long for my lug nuts I have. Also.. can someone explain to me why 4x2 is so much more expensive than 4x4? I would have thought it would be the other way around

The 4x2 uses a different hub assembly which is not available as aftermarket part.

Gibbs nailed it. There is no aftermarket hub for the Prerunner. The 4x2 uses an OEM Toyota hub, the 4x4 uses an aftermarket Dorman hub.

The ARP studs are an inch longer than stock, you would have to use an open style lug nut with those wheels.

Is there any reason for using longer studs ? And can you use open style nuts with different rims ?

Correct, wheel spacers and the Cali guys seem to like the ARP studs for the added strength when jumping their trucks.

I don't see why you can't use open style lugs on any rim.

    Hey Kevin,
Received the new hub assembly for my 06 Tacoma.....All looks great. Before I discovered your Jersey Built Hubs…..I purchased the other side from Toyota… I don’t have to tell you have much you saved me on this side!! Also I noticed the bearing and hub etc looks just like the one I got from the Dealership…same stamps Japan etc on it.. Was very pleased!!
