If you have placed a formal order with your dealer, have they given you an expected delivery date? Also, please include your location and date order. Maybe we can start puzzling together some sort of regional delivery pattern or strategy. Maybe include the relative size of your dealer- Toyota uses a "pull" strategy in their lean manufacturing process to help eliminate "Muda" (waste). So dealers are allotted inventory based on their history of sales for different vehicle models. So a dealer that sells more Tacos will have the opportunity to order more Tacos-- and perhaps be awarded delivery of said delicious box of Tacos earlier.

I have a Ltd model on order. I confirmed my purchase in late August, but my dealer here in Madison, WI had placed the order earlier than that. I believe the Ltds are coming out of San Antonio. My dealer is fairly large and often turns through their Taco stock quickly. The have already sold 10 2016s, and are trying to place orders for more. My truck is supposed to be the first one delivered to my dealer, and they had an initial delivery date of 3rd week in September, but the manufacturer told them earlier this week that there will be a short delay. I am hoping only a week or two.

Placed order on 8/22 for a 4x2 Limited MGM, Tonneau, Tow, Flaps, and Mats. Placeholder VIN indicated Baja plant with a build date of 9/17. Dealer emailed me yesterday saying their first Tacoma had arrived and my build date has been pushed back to 9/24 with delivery about 4 weeks later.

ETA - October 4th, 2187 when Tacoma chooses to replace their drum brakes with disc brakes.

Nice- great info! What is your location? It's such a bummer that it takes 4 weeks to arrive...

Orange County, CA. Dealer indicated that production started 8/29. If that is true then it took only two weeks for them to arrive at the SoCal dealerships. I am optimistic that delivery will be less than 4 weeks.

You choose strange things fixate on in your life. Log off and go outside for a bit. Based on your post history you could really use some fresh air.

Yes, I believe everyone can see that in your signature info...first order of business on your list of demands, even (with which I am in COMPLETE agreement). Didn't take too long to muddy the waters of this thread....

I hope it is less than 4 weeks as well. Usually they build in some C.Y.A. time to help cover the unforeseen...underpromise and overdeliver is usually a good strategy to manage expectations. I hope the transport driver delivering my baby pops a couple adderal, plugs into a coffee IV and catheter bag, and does not follow any posted speed limits or stop for pedestrians--- Just get it here!! This is going to be my first Taco, and I almost got a 2015 until I saw they were doing a generation change and adding some things that I really wanted...except for the new grille.

Yeah my TRD Sport 4x4 also got pushed back. It was a 9/16 build but apparently now is a 9/18 build. Mine was one that was already scheduled to be built though.

I've been here awhile and was racing my Tacoma for a bit. As an early adopter of a lot of products I'd post up the results of the things I'd use and let the community see what did/didn't work.

That, and I'd converse with folks about different topics. You're a bit of a broken record in your 50+ posts in the past day.

Ok, I'll say it then. Take some time off from the keyboard, get some fresh air and reevaluate some life choices.

Instead of voicing your opinion in a childish unprofessional public fashion, how about you private message me so we can compare our life choices shall we?
