The part that I find frustrating - is when people throw out 'personal' attacks, name calling, and disrespect to individuals directly.
That's where it's no longer a 'tacoma' debate, but personal issue. Sometimes things can get 'heated' and folks respond under 'adrenaline'.

Folks - take time to THINK about what you type before you type it. Have some respect for each other as tacoma enthusiasts. Respect everyone like you want to be respected.

 

I've been on a ton of car forums over the years, and every time there is a new model that comes out, all the forums end up like this. Those with the older model tend to look for things they don't like about the new model so that they can still feel good about their older model. It's just human nature I suppose. Once the new model is out for a while, this tends to stop and the discussions are more positive. Give it a few months....

 

Op.... I've been on various Toyota/Tacoma forums since 1999. There's a reason why I've left those forums and have come here.

I still find this home after almost 9 years (God help me!!). They put up with me.....some of them do, anyway

There's some great folks and great information here - you just have to sift thru some of the unnecessary banter. The 3rd gen talk is really 'over the top' right now. But like most have said...it'll calm down.

 

eh...in the time that I have been on this forum (which is not much comparatively) I have notice that, like @ramonortiz55 said, most of it is just b.s.ing. But there are some great people on here too. You just have to spend enough time sifting through what you need to and find what you are looking for and leave the other shit behind. Just my .02.

I agree OP. But that being said. I didn't know shit about my purchase of a 2012 taco. After just being on here for 9 months, I feel I can do just about anything to my taco myself and I owe it ALL to this forum. Their are some great people on here willing to help everyone. I am a daily visitor now just to see what's going on. As for the BSing, it makes my day! And oh Yea, Welcome to TW
