How are you liking having a swingout? Not too much added length or hassle?

    Its fucking annoying

I LOVE my swing out!! Honestly that was half the reason I got a rear bumper was just for the swing out. Looks really bad ass and I like being able to carry a full size spare, gas, and a hi lift on it. I do regret not getting the table though.. Definitely would if I did it over again.

Definitely do a high clearance though. Monday I went in the mountains, found this mound to drive up on that I have before, couldn't see the other side as I came up and BAM. They had dug away at the other side, like taking gravel away. Sitting on my sliders and eventually my truck was almost vertical.. Never hit the rear bumper coming off of it.

Damn. I'm looking forward to having a swing out soon! Need a place for the fat spare sitting in my bed. Next up is suspension, then deciding if I want a prinsu bed rack or a shell... Decisions. Your truck keeps giving me stupid ideas...

Do you plan on keeping your RTT on the cab or would you switch it to bed rack/canopy?
If you do more overlanding then I'd go canopy, but if you do more wheeling then I would go bed rack thats lower profile to keep the tent lower.

Usually you can find a good deal on CL.. Reason I say that is because its lockable, keeps your stuff drier/not as dusty, and you can use home made wood drawers. Theres +/- to both, just choose what will work best for you.

Really nice rig! You definitely have some great taste in parts.

I have to ask though, why have you put the locker off so long? Is your rig really so capable that you don't find yourself needing it? I could certainly believe that given how well built it is.

    Cheers!

    Thanks!

Main reason for putting the locker off is A) I want to regear at the same time and I haven't made up my mind between 4.56 and 4.88 gears. B) Price. I wanted armor before a locker and my truck very capable right now for the kind of wheeling I do. Once I get front and rear lockers ill of course start doing harder trails.

Yup. The tires went over the edge and hit down hard on the sliders

It was a forest service road. There was a mound of dirt/gravel that I had gone over before (6 months ago) and thought I'd do it again. They had dug into the other side, which I didn't know since I came from the other side. It was more vertical than it looks but this was it

I'm not completely looking forward to driving that much tomorrow but I want to see Tahuya. I'm trying a new GPS app that I actually got for hunting but it just might be better than what I was using before. $30/year for Hunt by OnXmaps. I checked out fortune creek trail in the app and it was very well documented, especially using Topo+Trails base map.
