    Uh....no.

I said that in response to the "2nd gens look dated" comment, with a picture of a new 2015 on a dealer lot. To which I replied, "Largely due to the fact that everything behind the grill surround and headlights is the same 2005 Tacoma."

    Pay attention, Steven Hawking.

Not sure I follow you. Are you saying the 2015 does not look dated or long in the tooth. If so, I think you are mistaken. The 2015 does look dated. Actually, interior, rims, and creature comforts seem outdated. I've always liked the exterior styling, even before the minor refreshings. I think that's why the 3rd gen appeals to me. Ses to be a refinement of the old.

No need for the personal sarcastic insult. I don't recall insulting you.

I said the difference from a 2005 and 2015, and more importantly why the 2015 that is still a brand new truck to be found today at a dealer - looks dated, because minus an edgier grill surround and angular headlight housings and LED tail lights, it's the same truck until you open the door.

It looks like a 10 year old truck because it is.

Also, I'm sorry I got mad. I don't want to fight.

What is with those rims?????? Let me put it to you this way, if those rims were sold aftermarket how many people would buy them? Probably very few. Why can't stock rims look cool like so many aftermarket rims? I just don't get why so many car manufactures use such a basic ugly rim. Cool looking rims do not cost more to make.

Personally. I like the 2016 sport rims. The black accents set of the cut metal. If it's not like this then they should be all black (which some say is a fad that has passed) or all chrome (which some say is a fad that has passed). Go figure.

Either way the rims are fine. It's the tires that are hideous. New tires 1 size up will give the truck a much better stance and raise it an inch or less lift. If your lucky a decent tire shop will let you trade in a decent, gently used tire. Some won't and you may have to ditch them before the wife finds out

2015 has had very few updates.ostly grill and navigation. You are correct on that. Op said 2016. Thought you meant that. Slight changes is a toyota thing. I guess that is the price you pay for reliability.

If you like yearly change Ram has been on it. Unfortunately, reliability suffers. I seriously considered one last October when rebates were ridiculously awesome. But I tend to keep vehicles 6-13 years.

There is. I've seen Sweers and at least one other Toyota exec say on camera that there are absolutely no plans for diesel. Not worth it to them financially, due to emissions regs and development costs

There is a diesel thread already. Go there and debate diesel Tacoma trucks of the future.
