What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

I know that feeling, my truck might as well be a tin can rolling end over end with how annoying it sounds just doing normal stuff. Lots of interior panel rattles, not the dash mostly the back wall.

 

I have silenced every rattle except for the passenger airbag. It make a hell of a vibration sound under very specific road conditions.

 

Never said you had to blast it, more of turn it up until you can't hear the road noise ha

 

ya found out my front bumper is rubbing on where the fender mounts to the front of the truck and it squeaks all the time!!! talk about a never ending project...

 

Id be deaf if i did that...lol

 

Frank/Igor must have a booming system then haha

 

Ran out of gas on my way to work in a torrential hail/rain downpour because I never know how much gas I have in the tank after banging my gas tank against a rockface while wheelin.. worst part is that my gas tank skid wasn't installed yet because the paint was curing from the rattle-can job I did to it

 

I like this and will look into this kit do the calipers come in different colors?

 

You can get them bare and paint them whatever color you want.

 

Ok I read somewhere on here someone bought them powder coated, so that was my bad for assuming the same. Looks good though, thanks for the ideas

 

Tool work for you without issues on a 1st gen?

 

Had to grind the edges for it to fit, but otherwise it worked well. I sold it to a member here so it may still be floating around.

 

What were some symptoms that made you change the bearing? I'm not having any issues but seems like it's something I may want to go ahead and do

I just did the tundra brake upgrade on Wednesday. It the best mod I've done to the truck. Great improvement.

Ha you're good man. I bought these powder coated red I'm just unsure if they make them in any other color.

 

I love the sound my tires make roaring down the road. Fuck yea
