Took my 6 year old Kona to the Vet yesterday for CCL surgery only to find out that it was much progressed bone cancer and we had to have her put down. First time losing a dog and it is not much fun at all. If I every find another puppy that is 1/2 Rottweiler and 1/2 German Shorthaired Pointer I will be taking it home without a second thought.

Thanks man. The way I'm looking at it, if we were told that when we picked her out of the litter she would live for 6 years we wouldn't have done anything differently.

Really sorry to hear about your loss man. I've had to put down a lot of dogs and it never gets any easier. Actually gets harder each time, but its what we have to do as their human's.

This always helps me through the rough times.

    Some really cool shit

    That totally sucks.

    With apologies to Lord Byron....

    Near this Spot
are deposited the Remains of one
    who possessed Beauty without Vanity,
    Strength without Insolence,
    Courage without Ferocity,
and all the virtues of Man without his Vices.

This praise, which would be unmeaning Flattery
    if inscribed over human Ashes,
is but a just tribute to the Memory of
    Kona, a Dog
