I have an 06 and just bought the tails from an 09. I took off my tail light and it doesn't look like it is a simple switch out. Has anyone done this and can they give me a bit of help? Much appreciated!

You may need to use a Multi Meter to find what wires corelate to what. Shouldnt bee too hard, as each light only has 3 functions. Brake, Iluminate, and turn.

Ok, Chris, I'll look into that. Was hoping find someone on here who already did it. I know many have made the switch. Thanks for the advice

That is weird, mine was plug and play going from 06 to 09. The plug is not the one you think, its the one attached to the tail light on a little black clippy thing.

edit: What I mean by that is the one that looks like you unplug doesn't fit, follow the wiring harness to the taillight and there is another plug closer to the housing.

Ok, Mom, let me take off my old one again and try disconnecting the wire and then going from there. If I can't figure it out, I will take a couple of shots of what I am looking at, and post them.. THanks for the advice

Call off the dogs!!! I got it. I got confused with the connection for the middle led light and the actual supply to the light. BUt, I looked a bit closer and you all said it could be done, and I just did it!!! Thanks everyone. Lovin the 09 lights on my Impulse Red. Will take a couple of shots in better light and post later. THnks!!!
