    I'm a LT in the national guard. Duty status I'm an Infantry Officer by MOS. a colleague of mine at my unit level recommended me for a full time position at the CA state military department HQ in Sacramento. It's a state active duty position through the national guard that runs off Emergencies when the governor declares the State of Emergency. The position is temporary full time as long as they need the assistance. It's def a change from infantry running and gunning but it opens doors up and networks my name. As a junior officer it's all about building professional relationships and such. I'm on the wildfire task force as a liaison between guard personnel activated and the state personnel, this case CalFire. It's amazing what doors the military, even part time national guard can open.
