Not feeling all that well today. I have had a headache across the eyes all day. I had a lot of stuff to do today that just took forever. I hate it when you are sick and it takes 5 minutes to get out of the truck.

    Morning all:
:facepalm:A piece of the screen door latch broke off, and I couldn't get it to open. Luckily I had the window on it in the up position, so I just cut the screen to get at the latch to open the door. Put a new latch on, but now have to also replace the screen.
It could have been worse, if the window had been down I would have had to break it also.
Now I know not to lock the other screen door on the front of the house so I can just open it to get to the main door without having to break anything.

Looks like the rain may give me enough of a reprieve to get the grass cut today. Second cup of coffee and then making some sausage gravy to go with breakfast this morning.

    Hope all are well. :)

If that's the biggest problem you have to post about Carl, you're still doing pretty darn well. ;) Have a great day!

Oh, well. Look at it like a minor inconvenience vs an expensive inconvenience. You need some screen?

 evening rob. Get your grass cut? I didn't :anonymous: it'll be there tomorrow

Just checked it ... still too wet, sun got clouded out so it hasn't dried enough. I can't stand cutting wet grass, sooo messy. It's not outrageous tall yet, so I just finished debating it with Kristi, and we decided to hold off and hope for a decent sun spell to dry it out better. Irritating part is I probably only need to cut it one more time. It was upper 30°s here last night, first frost should be before too long.

Good news is garage sale is going pretty well, less stuff I'll have to pack back away. :)

Mostly stuff that either the kids left here or the grands had outgrown that Kristi had when they lived here. Couple of strollers, kid clothes, toys, etc.; and some other stuff. Trying to convince Kristi to let me take whatever doesn't sell to a church thrift store up the road. Not pushing too hard though. ;)

    Evening all:
Got lots of screen Sue, I buy it by the roll for when I need to replace sections on a screened in patio. Only difference is that it's metal screen, whereas the door had the nylon screen. Looks like it's going to be the metal screen as the replacement.

 Morning all. My kind of weather today - only supposed to hit upper 70's:woot:. Hi Carl, one thing I always had an problem with was getting the screening tight in the frame. In this house, they installed builder grade windows (Silverline) and when the screens get a hole or cut, I have to buy the whole frame with the screening.:(. No replacing just the screening.
    Hi Sue & Rob:wave:.

That's my theory too; if it makes it to the yard sale pile, it either sells or it goes to charity. No coming back into the house!

Of course it's just a theory. Like you, I am married. ;)

CA Valley Fire in national news; 585 homes lost. Wonder if Bob @gologit is back out there?
 for the victims and the firefighters on the front lines.

Rain gave a short break and a stiff breeze dried the grass enough to cut yesterday afternoon. Glad I jumped on the opportunity, woke up to rain again this morning. It's that time of year when I start thinking I'd rather just have snow, easier to deal with IMHO. 7 yrs living in England shaded my opinion of these periods of rain for days into weeks at a time.

Hope all are well and happy. :)

    Morning all:
After seeing that on the news, I was thinking about Bob also. It's a shame that those fires are causing so much
destruction out west. I have woods surrounding me, and I managed to clear most of the stuff away from the house and big garage that could be a problem in the event of a brush fire.
Off to the Toyota garage for the spiral cable recall. I also have a letter from Toyota about the parking light lenses being affected by heat from the bulb and melting the lens, that the service dept. says they never heard of!
