Why is there a chrome grille on a Sport model?

Are you happy with that? Just curious because I was looking at getting a Sport and am ticked I have to now mod the grille because they put in a chrome one.

I am more than aware of that. Doesn't change that there is a chrome grille on a Sport model.

Also, anything can change with these trucks in the journey from concept to actual production. So to assume everything on the trucks would be 100% just like the concepts/prototypes may not be the best practice.

Nothing here either. I went to my dealer August 17 when Toyota released details and got mine ordered.

I just called both dealers here in Albuquerque and they said they will get their first Tacoma in one month.

Just got off the phone with my actual sales guy today and he told me there was no update or change and that my truck is getting built next week (as I expected) and that it should be in a couple week after. Also he's looking into what kind of a deal he can get me on a tire swap to some more aggressive AT's that I want. I'm getting hyped.:dancingbacon:

For any of the new owners out there, did the dealer discuss anything about towing with your new truck? In Missouri, deer season kicks off in 2 days and I'm going to want to pull my trailer and ATV as soon as I get my truck. But I'm wondering if I'm supposed to wait till 500 or 1000 miles or so before towing. Just curious if there is a break in period needed?

Check your manual, Toyota states no towing for first xxxx miles, I believe it's 1,000. Additional criteria to stay within are also stated such as limited highway travel, long idle sessions and staying below xxxx rpm, believe it's 4,000 rpm but again read your manual.

Edit: congrats on your new truck and good luck this deer season!

Jim Norton Toyota in Tulsa had an SR5 in MGM yesterday unsold off the transport and on the lot for sale. I was going to ask for a test drive but they had just sold it as I arrived. BUT, appears they will start to trickle into our area now.

Hell, would be nice if Toyota would put the '16 on the website....trucks are hitting the dealer lots...and still nothing...have to come in here or go to other 3rd party sites to get the specs.

I read it. Compelling stuff. Great plot, with an M. Night Shalamadingdong twist at the end.

How many of the owners in this thread are actual owners and how many are borrowing it from the bank?

So you aren't an actual owner yet
