I may be just making something out of nothing, but it seems to me that my gas cap may be bad. I have no check engine lights or anything, however I have not been hearing a hiss from my gas cap.

Now I am pretty sure that I used to hear hisses before, but now nothing. Is my gas cap supposed to do that, or am I being compulsive? lol

Im very ocd when it comes to my truck but if there was any problem with the cap itself, the engine light would come on. The light comes on when the gas cap seal is not sealing properly. I learned this bit of info when I changed my stock cap to a locking cap from autozone. Hope this helps.

I've never known a stock gas cap to 'hiss' consistently. Sometimes it does; sometimes it doesn't.

If you're not getting any CELs then don't worry about it. But if it makes you sleep better at night then get a new one from the dealer.
