How about the roof? Did they do away with the factory mounting points for a roof rack like they had on the 2nd gens, or did they do away with those?

yeah, they tested it to the extreme. They even shut the car off at redlights, which wouldn't really be saving you anything because you'd just be wearing out your starter. Was still funny to watch though, and all the stuff they tested, people actually do. I just keep my truck below 2k rpms, try to time and coast through stoplights, generally just take it easy on the road. its a win win. I save a bit of gas, and have no speeding tickets. Other than that, i just enjoy it.

Truck looks great! Nice buy! Question: I'm in metro Phx also. Only found Sport models so far. Where did you find the off road? And - I've read the ride is rougher on the OR than Sport but apparently you think it's great. Good news think I'm leaning toward OR.. Thx

I get 41 average in our gas only Civic. if you're worried about air conditioning, it makes the biggest difference in mpg when you accelerate. I turn the compressor off when I accelerate or go uphill. Some people will say that turning it on and off at speed is bad for the compressor or clutch, but it does this on its own anyway. They don't run all the time when the button is on

Foot pedal ebrake is far better off road IMO. But now there is crawl control so one less thing to think about. We'll see how that works out though. Thing is companies put the bells and whistles on these rigs but the majority of people who buy em never use em. I've tried the downhill assist but prefer using 4Lo and engine braking.

I was hating the 16 and seeing it in silver makes me want one now. But I will wait until everyone tests out the new engine and all the ,armor issues are worked out.....

In my experience when stopping pre/post obstacles when checking a line all I have to do is get in one foot on the brake, one on the ebrake, shift into low and gently let off the regular brake. Hands are free for shifting/steering. It's really preference. At first I didn't like the pedal ebrake. But pedal or the new ones will be far better than the older style hand E-brake. And in the 2nd gen I have room for accessory buttons on the center area. Four rocker switches fit perfect there.

You cannot modulate the ebrake when it's under the dash. You can actually use it while driving when it's on the console.

I originally didn't like the TRD OR wheels but they're growing on me fast.

Thank you. The pictures of it in the desert are great! That's where we'll be taking ours mostly. Can't wait for the video! Overcast days are the best for lighting. Does not create harsh shadows.

You made that review yo b*tch! Thank you. It would be interesting to hear an update on those bumper pieces. I'm hoping it's only a few bolts to remove and replace the chrome corners for body colored ones.

According to my dealership parts guy the part number for the roof rack is the same as the 2005-2015. In the brochure it looks identical to the one I have.
