    Hey guys, I'm installing the Wheeler's 3 leaf AAL on my TSB springs this weekend, along with 5100's. For reference, the front bracket on the factory overload is the one that needs to be cut off correct?

    See the area I circled in this photo from ICON's installation instructions? You can see the bare grey primer. That's the location of the clamp you have to remove from the stock leaf pack.

    Based on the photo you posted above, if you are also running your stock overloads with the AAL and stock pack, then from the look of thing you very well may have to cut the clamp off the overload too.

    I like the stupid little aero flaps. I had to take mine off though. Long days in high heat and at high speed seemed to have remold them so every time I turned the wheel they'd catch on the tires. Made for a great noise when you are backing out.

    Great write up! Would like to add something I experienced. I see that you swapped blocks for AAL (i.e. No real difference in lift height), so when you swapped for AAL on one side and raised the axle to the leafs, it was still about the same height as the other side. I went from stock to AAL and tried this method of completing one side before doing the other. The issue I was having is that once I got the AAL set on the drivers side, and went to jack up the axle to the leafs, it wouldn't line up because the difference between the AAL drivers side and the stock passenger side. What I had to do was take appart the passengers side as well so that the axle fell freely (supported by jack!). Then I got both AAL's set up, jacked up the axle from the differential, and lined up the axle on both sides simultaneously.

    Not sure if anyone else experienced this, but I was surprised I had never read anything about it

    Yeah, that's how I usually do it, wrestling or sometimes kicking the axle or leafs to line up haha.

    Ha! I definitely did a lot of kicking before deciding to just take apart the passengers side. Glad I wasn't the only one

    The springs will droop and not have tension, like this:

    They are easy to line up without tension. This reduces the amount of kicking and screaming, which is good:

    Hey Guys, Im relatively new to the suspension game. I just had 5100s installed on all sides with a rear block. I am now wanting to ditch the block in favor of a AAL. If I install this myself, will the truck need to be re-aligned?

    No aal will only affect the rear end, no alignment needed
