I know they will "fix" it but it's a bit disappointing that there is no way to not get it if you want the premium packages. In the NW where rain is a regular occurrence its worrisome that this is a potential problem.

What about the tailgate does it feel more sturdy than the previous gens?

Agreed on the sunroof. I have no use for it.

Tail gate seems beefier than my 1st gen. Much more solid sounding when closing it and no need to slam it shut. Just a firm shove.

The sun roof doesn't rattle. It seems to 'fall down' from the sealed position. Falls maybe 1/4 to a 1/2". It can be pushed back into position.
You can sorta see it in this pic.I was trying to get a pic of the truck and the mine shaft.

OP you rock. I hope you don't take this as a criticism I'd be purchasing one if it was available. Just venting when I see someone like yourself having to deal with something that should be a non-issue given a solid roof in lieu of a motorized one.

Here's a crappy pic out the windshield. Hard to see in a pic but in person the hood looks long. Also can't see the upper part of the grill or the rubber seal. And I'm holding the camera slightly above my line of vision.

Thanks for write up. Good to see you mention the things you don't like with the things you do. Most people who buy new stuff only say good stuff lol. Looks like a nice truck. Congrats on the purchase. Hope it treats you well.

Awesome, great info, thank you so much and CONGRATS... I have a access cab OR coming also, Im still undecided about the wheel flares not being painted like the rest of the truck, in the past the OR did have them the same color as the truck, what do you think.?? I hope they can fix your sunroof without too much problem, it rains a lot here and I sure wouldn't want a problem with that...
    Enjoy the truck...

I just noticed that your tires aren't BF Goodrich All Terrains and yet up here it says that it comes with them, could it be different for down there or I wonder if they just made a mistake in the write up..

Oooo good catch, I didn't notice that. I will be upset if I don't get the BF Goodrich. I have had experience with those tires and even on the road, the Kevlar side walls improve handling quite a bit. That was one of the selling points for me buying the OR, however, not the only reason.

I haven't used them myself, but I think the Wrangler tires are a solid step-up over the Rugged Fails that we were stuck with on the 2nd gen. So far that looks like a good improvement to me!

I would assume its the electronics working that makes those sounds on the crawl mode, something along the same line as if you do an emergency stop and your ABS starts working, it also makes a sound...

Well Ill tell you, if mine doesn't come with the right tires, I will tell the dealer to take them off my 2011 and put them on the 2016...
