Black/orange interior

I've looked at about every video and photo there is of the 2016, and the only colored dash I have seen was in either the orange or red exterior with the corresponding interior. No other color has it that I'm aware of. If you opt for the grey interior (instead of black) on the orange exterior, you won't get the orange dash. Every black interior I have seen has always had the contrast stitching, but I've only seen black interiors with the orange and red exteriors.

 

Hopefully for you guys it's only the seat stitching that is Orange.

 

Same here. I'm fine with it either way, but I guess if it bugs me, I can always swap the piece out.

 

This is exactly what I'm wondering - I'm ordering a white dclb and would like black seats since my last 3 cars have been grey but would prefer not to have a bright orange dash. I guess I'll do the same and just order it and plan on replacing the dash trim if necessary.

 

Well now I don't even know anymore! Up is down, black is white, tomorrow already happened, what is going on!!!

I guess you'll have to fill us in when you get yours. Maybe it's just the seats with the regular dash trim. I can't imagine anyone would want to have the orange trim on anything other than the inferno. This is coming from someone who wants the inferno with matching trim. Accent stitching is subtle enough that I could picture it anywhere.

I saw several Tacomas with the black/orange interior at the plant tour last week. The seats have orange stitching and there is an orange dash trim surrounding the instrument cluster and ac vents (see pic on earlier posting).

 

Was it only the infernos? Or did they have them in other colors, too?

Ah, ok then. Well, I guess I'll just have to see how that looks when it gets here. Might be fine. I may just embrace it. I like orange as a color. Not for a whole truck, obviously, as I put a deposit on a Mag Gray Metallic color way, but maybe I'll continue the theme and add additional orange accents around the truck to tie it together. Like maybe plastidip the badges in orange, or create a custom orange TRD decal for the back... Orange on the rims somewhere, perhaps? Hmmmmm...

Or just paint or replace that dash trim piece.

My black TRD Sport is coming with the black/orange. I really like it so far, but if for some reason the orange ring bothers me, I suppose I can always switch the piece out.

 

I like the orange stitching! Nice touch. Looks like that truck is sold already too.

 

Would the Inferno come standard with the orange trim?? I have an Inferno Sport on ordered and wasn't given that option. Salesman said the color was cement, but he was working from a less than official computer print out - had not yet received the official sales brochure

 

According to the brochure listed above, there are two options for the TRD Sport. Option# 1- Graphite with Gun Metal Gray. Option# 2- Black interior with Orange accented instrument panel ring. The only mention of " Cement Gray " is with the SR and SR5 trims.

Orange dash on a metallic gray.

 

The post above ^ is the picture I took today at the dealer. It was an MGM exterior with the black/orange interior as shown above. So indeed, the black/orange does come in other exterior colors than just the inferno red truck. Even though the orange ring didn't match the rest of the truck, I actually digged it. I would get it. I also loved the seats with the orange stitching and design.
