Interested in ECT function as well. It seems all are liking it more with it on, is that something you
can just leave on permanently?

 

I like the look of the Predator Bars but wonder if those steps would get hung up on some of the more gnarly forest roads and ranch roads I drive when out hunting or camping

 

I miss the days when the throttle was connected to a cable.

 

Local Dealer in SLC has 9 of 'em in stock. Looks like they have them priced right at MSRP. Don't know if they are willing to deal since I have not been down there yet to talk to my "contact". Prolly go test drive in a day or two. CANNOT see trading in my 2015 for one though.

 

i am in SLC too. all the trucks in "inventory" are actually sold to preorders. said they wont have any non pre orders until at least December. i wanted to test drive one as i have a preorder coming and they said i couldn't because they were all sold.

Karl Malone. Talked to LM and the sales guy (probably doesn't know anything) says they wont get their first one until November.

 

My dealer just contacted me, and told me that I have a port date of 9/15/2015. I don't know what this means, but I hope this is code for me getting a truck by the end of the week. Seeing all these great looking trucks is making me anxious to get mine.

 

It should be dropped at your closest port depot. They will put on the additional equip and then ship to dealer. Probably see it in a week to 10 days max

Ect is old news boys. Have it on my first gen. Just holds the gears longer. Different shift points. Its nothing that special. Has a little more get up and go.

 

I like it in this color. I thought that orange trim on the interior was only for the inferno trucks.....guess not.

Yeah I believe they changed to drive by wire in 2003. I would assume the 3rd gen's ECT is dynamically improved since.

 

Well... since my '14 is a year from being paid off, and Toyota gave me an 8 year 100k warranty because they had to replace my ECM in the first few days of ownership...

I think I'll keep it for 7 more years.

 

Agreed. I was telling myself how much I like that truck; just what I want. Until....the dash pics. Orange. ORANGE! In the name of God why would anyone ever want that color in their vehicle?

 

So I pondered my thoughts on this a bit more. I think I really liked the contrasting colors of limited interior that has been shown everywhere. This truck has the graphite gray interior with gunmetal gray accents. All that grey just sort of blurs together and loses some of its style. Since I don't plan to get the orange accents (the only other option on the OR as far as I know) I might consider getting one of the other available interior accent pieces and doing a little mix & match.
