Maybe next time you won't block yourself from your driveway.

    Shame.

If the HOA doesn't reimburse you for their mistake, please take them to small claims.

As I have seen before it isn't a mistake. If the rules say vehicles can't block driveways, it doesn't disclude homeowner vehicles from the rule.

It's his own driveway. They have no right to tow him from his own driveway. That defeats the purpose of it being his driveway. Take them to court, OP.

A sad reality that rules don't have to pass the common sense test. Sucks for the OP.

Not debating common sense, but your idea of how it works isn't how it always works.

HOA are where political wannabe's go to pretend they have power and authority. Before we moved out to the country, we lived in an area controlled by a HOA. Of all the "husbands" in the neighborhood were either lawyers or owned small business'. To keep their wives entertained, they were the HOA (the wives) The meetings were a joke. First part was always a fashion show. Then the gossip and badmouthing session. Anyone who wasn't part of the snobbery was subject to rules imposed by those who were in power. That would be me....I collected antique tractors. A couple we used to take care of the property. You would have thought I was putting on Woodstock in the front yard. I vowed to never live in a development controlled by a dictatorship/HOA again.

If a HOA tried towing my vehicle of my property I think someone would end up shot. I'm sure they can't take you property of your land. They could fine you but absolutely NOT take your property. I would not let that stand. Sue or they will become even more bold.

Mailed 4lbs of lawn clippings, certified return receipt to HOA once. After letting them ferment in 100+ degree for about a week. Just providing proof to meeting their notice...

Glad to see you're whole again. That spend is ridiculous.

Your not entirely wrong, unfortunately, but Texas is distant number 2, as it is in most things (no offense to anyone).

Cool, but I'm talking about tacomas. You obviously haven't been here long enough to see how many west coast stolen Tacoma threads there have been.

glad it was only towed, those damn HOAs are annoying. My parents neighborhood was like that, also my gf's mom's. They would tow for it being parked in the road overnight or if a resident parked in the visitor spot. It is usually a couple hundred bucks to get it out

I guess I haven't, but given your lack if specificity and the near constant juvenile shots taken at California it was an easy conclusion to jump to.

I don't mean to be so touchy so my apologies. I'm on another forum and this morning a California member brought up the wildfires we're going through and the loss they and their family are experiencing. Wouldn't you know it didn't take long for the douch bags to jump in with all the "commiefornia" BS. I too have friends and family being affected by this and I just can't stand that juvenile shit, especially when someone is experiencing this tragedy.

Dereck is a good guy. I tend to be the first person to start telling assholes they're assholes, and he isn't one of them.

    Juvenile shots? Wut?
I simply stated, on this forum, tacomas that have been stolen from members happen primarily in the west coast. It was a mere observation. You're taking my words out of context and making it a bigger deal than it was.

x2 I don't see any of your statements as "shots" at California, I was puzzled as to why he even brought that up
