That's what I did... I ran just the pack with the BPF bed rack and RTT but the bumper really called for the aal

 

Dakars with AAL FTW. I've had mine since March of 2011 and leaves are still great

 

I appreciate all the feedback but I'm confused. What is the difference between running a leaf pack vs. aal? Aren't leaf packs superior to all?

 

You buy the Dakars as a complete Leaf pack and I believe it will give you 2.75 to 3 inches of lift over stock set up....and yes, it is superior to a OEM pack with an aal.... but there is an aal for the Dakar pack that will give a bit more lift and rear axle droop but will also correct rear sag due to wear or heavy rears...

Yea get a heavier rear leaf pack like the dakars everyone is mentioning. I have all pro expo leaf packs and they're good too. My truck weighs 6k lbs and I occasionally tow a 6x12 enclosed trailer and it handles great.

You asked which kit to go with, I don't have any experience with ome stuff but I'm sure there's a ton of info on here about it. Or just call toytec and ask them which would be best for your application.

I'm in the middle of figuring out what is best for me also. I have ATO rack with RTT and I lost my rake that I had with the icon AAL. It just sags more than I like when I add all the camp gear in the bed. I also tow a 5x10 trailer occasionally. The only thing is I'm going to take off the bars and the tent for the winter, and read the expo packs can be harsh without the added weight.

 

After a year or so of getting lucky and not being left stranded by my slowly dieing starter, I finally replaced it today. Bolts were quite hidden, but once we found them, one was easy to get to, and the other with several extensions and a u-joint was able to be tackled. Special thanks to Chris(NJ) for the helping hands.

 

I am selling a brand new Toyota OEM leaf pack 3+1 that was part of my frame replacement package from the dealer. $100 takes both. They even come with bushings pressed in and where never installed on my truck cause I kept my Dakars.

 

I'll be visiting cherry hill, southern NJ near philly tomorrow morning, have the whole day free after 2-3pm, any woodsland to explore anywhere near there?

 

Not really, Wharton is the closest legal spot.

Sorry man, I'm working all day. If you do go, don't just rely on your GPS because the signal can be very poor and everything looks the same after a while.
