In the menu got the loudness button you changed setting?

 

yeah. the sub wires are plugged into the sub outlet., but in the Tacoma i spliced into the rear speaker wires.
there is a "sub cut-off" setting but i played around with it and no noticeable change.

 

you check both rca connections? maybe your new deck has less voltage coming through the rcas? also set the low pass filter at 80 or 100 hz, otherwise just turn the gain up on the amp.

 

RCA connections are good.
i would think a $850 pioneer head unit would give a decent output.
not sure if i have a low pass filter???
i turned up the gain and it sounded like a hollow thud each time it hit so i turned it back down

 

your deck should have a low pass, the low pass filter is just the frequency the deck cut offs signal at for the sub. you want below 100 hz. If it's making that noise when you turn the gain that much its probably clipping. I had this problem before and it turned out i damaged one of the rcas, you can check this by playing a bassy song and unplugging of of the rcas. If the loudness is the same then it's definitely not the rca cables.

is -18db the only level can set it at? You should try setting it closer to zero to see if it gets to how loud it used to be.

 

Turn up the db setting to 0 and go up

goes from -8 to -18 i think

i went down to-10. goes all the way to +25db but theres no sub at that point

i hope so, even though im a traitor. diesel is expensive but im getting 24mpg hwy/ 19-21mpg city with 6in lift on 37s. when the taco got 15mpg everywhere. atleast i can fit my dirtbike in my bed and close the tailgate. got tired of putting all my muddy nasty gear in the back seat because i couldnt close my tailgate

 

cboy. says its .120 wall tube... f*uck that to support a weight of a truck. do not waste $$$ on them. the false security will cause new rocker panels in the future

 

It also said that the mounting feet aren't welded on, so still gotta weld to the legs then mount? Sounds more humbug than weld on sliders.
