Did any of you guys on Xbox get a hawkmoon from the cryptarch? I was doing the tour around the tower for playing year one and I think getting all the gold chest and he gave me an engram that turned into the hawkmoon. Super stoked right now.

 

I'm on PS4 and got a Bad Juju. I keep getting green and blue drops that are better than any legendary or exotic in my possession, though, and damage of 160 is looking weak. Not sure if we'll be able to "ascend" our old stuff in any way . . .

 

Nope, can't ascend year 1 equipment. Felt weird trading my legendary gear for green gear that was better, but it's refreshing! The year 1 exotics are going to be slowly reintroduced from what I understand so there may be a year 2 version of your bad juju sometime.

 

It's not limited to Xbox. I think you guys got the weapons that were PS4 exclusives. I got a Bad Juju for running around the tower. It's no good until I get enough legendary marks (which as we know) is semi broken right now.

I was like you... Once I completed the story line I thought "oh shit" that was it??? Nope... not even close. I've still got quests out that ass on my WL (which is the one I'm concentrating on ATM).

Yep... That was mentioned before the game came out. Any Vanguard / Crucible marks you had in your inventory should have turned into accommodations and you can cash those in for rep with whatever faction you chose. I'm running a full set of legendary Dead Orbit gear / weapons right now and the scout rifle is pretty damn awesome. My light level is sitting at 169 at the moment but as soon as I figure out how to get some more legendary marks that will increase. Even then I'll still find a blue weapon that has a higher hit score than the Dead Orbit gear I'm running right now but there aren't as many perks on them so I'll stick with the DO gear for now.

Yep... Still deciding on which one I want to pick up first when I get the marks. Suros "looks" good and since they buffed auto rifles I dunno. I hate GH didn't transition to year two. I hate not having a RL that doesn't track at the moment but I'm sure there will be one out there.

 

I spent all my motes and heavy ammo at the dead orbit faction and got full dead orbit gear and weapons, increased my light from 170 to 237 right off the bat.


Also, once you get your light high enough, constantly run court of oryx with a fireteam, it drops weapons/armor that are light 260+ so you can run the heroic strikes and get better loot.

 

That's weird... I did the same thing but got the lower level DO stuff. The items you actually buy are higher level?

 

No I just did the faction packages trading the motes and ammo for them. Most of the gear and weapons I got was 230-257

 

So where are the suros weapons? Surely Bungie doesn't expect me to have to use glimmer on common green suros from the Vanguard after letting you think they are free from preorder..... or do they? Are these the suros arsenal pack weapons?

What a crock of shit. I've already gotten drops that surpass them easily and that was in the first 20 minutes of gameplay. Jeez. I've been hornswaggled

I didn't get that lucky. I need to trade for some faction packages. I only have about 38 motes of light though

I though it was cool as shit to be able to climb the ship at the cosmodrome. I caught myself staring at that thing when the game first released thinking it would be so cool to go up there.

Did the daily heroic last night. We were all under leveled but got him down. Got my 11 marks for the week.
