Thanks for the detailed observations and pics! Bummer about the sunroof - keep us updated on how that gets resolved.

Just an FYI, there are FOUR modes of fuel economy information in the gauge display: (1) Instantaneous Fuel Economy (colored bar graph shown in the pic on OP's first post on the bottom), (2) Average Fuel Economy and (3) Tank Average Fuel Economy and (4) Trip Average Fuel Economy.

    (1) Related to throttle response: when you coast, it shows more MPG's (i.e. - less throttle). IF you "gas-it" shows less MPG's.
    (2) Can be reset, but it the system continuously looks at the necessary inputs to calculate MPG. Over time you want to see what your average MPG is, for example over the course of a roadtrip , this is the one to use. Similar to TRIP A and TRIP B, it will keep counting miles until you reset it, this however, calculates MPG.
    (3) This one resets after you refuel, so it does the calculations for you if you are curious on what one tank of gas gets you.
    (4) Trip Avg. resets itself after each shutdown/startup of the vehicle. So if you wanted to what your MPG going from point A-B on a single trip.

If you want to see a real comparison, have OP customize the Information Tab in the display to all of the fuel economy modes and post images.

Agreed, I honestly would pay the extra to get that display. There's more info in that display than you know what to do with!

One can never have too many light bars.
I was driving on Highway 8 from Tucson to San Diego on Friday 9/11 and I saw a semi carrier that only had silver trd off roads on them right next to a boarder crossing. Wonder if this is was one of them.

Keep the updates coming! You should get better MPG as you break in your motor. Thanks again for the excellent info. Very excited to see what else you post.

No pic of the oil filter. Didn't see it down there. Have to remove the skid plate most likely.

I set up the info screen to show more milage data. Can't view 4 on one screen though. MPG is currently at 14.5 average, and 16.5 tank. 1st few days I had it I was not easy on it plus idled for a while playing with options, and offroading.

Thomas Jefferson-You most likely saw this truck. They called me on the 12th saying it arrived. They were all amazed it showed up as they had no clue when it would be there.

Also I wish I could disconnect the seat beat sensor without setting off a warning light in the dash.
Don't like a seat belt while at 5MPH offroad.

And the door dinger when you shut the engine off and leave the door open, keys in pocket

Look on page 595 of your owners manual. Most of the settings have to be changed by the dealer but there is a list of things that can be changed. The seatbelt reminder is a thing that the dealer can turn off.

Right, you can only set two per page, but you do have 3 pages of information!

    Nice, thanks!
Looks like open door and seat belt buzzer are dealer only changes.

Is that dealer only or is it like EFI Live for GM and can be bought?

Mike: Where in Phx did you take your truck off roading? Just curious.

Also, I texted Graham about any off road models available, he told me he would get back to me Tomorrow since he wasn't in Today. Hopefully I can get a similar deal to yours. Camelback Toyota was only willing to do $1500 over invoice price.

Out off of Miller rd where everyone shoots. Was a weekend and I won't make that mistake again :) I usually go during the week.
I plan to get on better trails soon.

Same price goes for Avondale Toyota. Had a deposit there for a short time.

What are your thoughts on the wrangler tires? It sounds like you have some off road experience.

They seemed to work fine. Felt stable and sure footed.
I'll wear them out then replace with whatever I decide on.

Sweet, post more pics or videos if you hit any new trails. Your review has definitely been the best on this forum.

you can pick the cable up and they include the software. you can find them on Amazon pretty cheap, between $20-$50. be careful of the DVD's as they are loaded with malware. most are from china.
